Rescue here in the UK is traumatic enough, I can only imagine what it must be like to start your wonderful charity in another country... Well done & thank you for all the hard work you are doing.
Same thing on Koh Samui, where uncounted thousands of dogs are starving, mange ridden and ignored, poisoned, beaten away, living where they can on the streets and beaches. Other than Phuket, the island of Koh Tao (KOH TAO ANIMAL CLINIC ) has been successful in spaying and neutering dogs and educating the locals about caring for and about animals. Last summer they spay/neutered over 700 dogs on that one small island. But on Koh Samui, it is a different story, as it is a much larger island.
Soi Dogs truly is a gripping, traumatic yet inspiring story!
Worth every penny spent!
As a dog lover, I would urge everyone to kindly buy the DVD. Every little bit helps and we all know that collectively the little bits will become immeasurable.
Great preview of the Soi Dogs Documentary very moving and touching and highlights the great work this organization does, I just bought the full length DVD from the Soi Dog Foundation website online for under $20 . I would suggest other people consider buying a copy as all monies raised by the sale of this DVD goes directly to the dogs and cats of Thailand
Keep up the good work! India is much the same - there are dogs, cats and goats roaming the streets...the lucky ones will have someone who will leave them scraps to eat...the not so lucky ones scavenge through rubbish dumps and all sorts of waste & accidentally eat plastic & complicate their stomachs, there are dogs who have been kicked and beaten, have broken hips, legs & backs either from people or their vehicles, dogs that are blinded due to kids poking their eyes. These animals feel pain too!
I am a Thai. Thank you for inspiring us with your dedication. Your story is very moving; I know now that it is cruel to be indifferent to the animal's suffering. You are empowering us to make a difference in our own heart and in our own country.
