@FBPCL are you forgetting about the (221 260 and 289 Fairlane V8's) and the mercury comet wich it was based off of? yes there was a hi-po fairlane it had the 289 4bbl on it so as the comet. the thunder bolt was made for drag racing but i think there was 71 available to the public. now the fairlane390GT and GT/A was a factory performer any one could buy. even the torino's came with 390's 428's and later 429's.
