I was just searching prog rock in youtube as I was bored and found this, very nice indeed. From a prog lover to another I suggest you give "happy the man" a shout. Another hidden gem of prog rock.
Definitely an underrated band with amazing materials and great work. I don't know why some artists gets to be popular and others don't, but sometimes it's just not a fair deal.
Picture) is a song for any who had someone leave their life and you wished them back....I wrote produced and sang it.. Half way through it kicks in.....I did the best I could and I got the idea out but it's for someone else out there to take it to the next level...I just want to write and collaborate..I hope you like it ... Godbless
@FlareSideMuzik It is creative music that generally tells a story in a myriad of ways and song styles, structures. Progressive Rock is just music that allows the artist to explore and mix various sounds and genres to create something unique and challenging
To the uploader, could we get a list of all the "Most Underrated Prog Rock bands" you have uploaded, I don't want to miss any, i'm suprised I havn't heard of quite a few of them Well done sir. cheers
very nice video friend!! i have to ask you to give some support " bbuteo " by subscribing and leaving them a comment, i just discovered this band here in youtube and im already a big fan, they are making wonderful pop progressive rock, i can assure you that they are great,again, please check them(bbuteo) tx friend 5/5***
@TrollandDie Well, you can start of with the classic bands like Yes, Genesis, Gentle Giant, Camel, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Van Der Graaf Generator and Pink Floyd of course (which you probably know). Out of the newer bands (90s, 00s), I really like Anglagard and Frost*. Also, Dream Theatre, which you also probably know, and especially the work of Jordan Rudess. Hell, there is quite a lot of amazing stuff out there, check out this site called the Prog Rock Archives; it a reallly great resource.
very good! All my thought went back to the Lamb Lies Down on Broadway period of Genesis. But it is not at all the tightness of Phil Collins and maybe thats one of the reasons Ive never heard of this band before.
pretty cool

Marketing, exposure. This music is not commercial though, but it helps anyway. I'm paying my little tributes :)

Many bands are underrated for a very good reason.

@JackBlair2 Like Velvet Underground was at 1960's?
martin128 6 months ago
@JackBlair2 and many "artists" are popular because the general public is composed of plebeians.

The drummer doesn't seem to have very good rhythm. :/ Like the bass part though

I love the trumpet. Not many prog bands have any instruments besides guitar, bass, drums, and keyboard. Nice to hear something different. :)

@OfficialChannelOfHi Are you crazy dude? Almost every 70's prog band had a flute, sax or violin player.

Wow, amazing how tastes differ. Jeff is one of my favourite singers. Beautiful and moving voice for me.

I just sampled some of their other songs, and actually I take back my comment.
He's good. My apologies.
And heck why am I making judgements - the only thing I can do musically is turn on my mp3.
Take care

@davidsanful Cool stuff.
I'm a metal fan trying to get a wider taste of music so are there any other good prog rock bands to recommend?
I've a wide range of progressive metal so I know I'll like this stuff.

@pluckerpicker Thanks man.
If I could recommend any band it would be Nevermore.
A progressive/thrash metal band that got me into this kind of music in the first place.
TrollandDie 1 year ago
@pluckerpicker and King Crimson. Their mid 70's output (73-75) is amazing and probably my favorite prog rock.
