  • @tera1320 that's an "extrodinaire" way to spell extraordinary..

i guess this just makes you that more ordinary

  • wish i was in china now, and they have the prettiest women!

  • Heh. What a playful performance.

  • He blows...into the flute..and the flute kinda blows back... 2:06

  • Anyone know where i can get that style of flute lol? really does sound like a bird XD

  • its a g key dizi, google eason enterprises , i order off him a lot , so far, hulusi, erhu, and dizi he is helpful and really cheap

  • China duh XD...

Its really hard to play, especially those high notes. It can plays like up to 5+ octaves.

so far, i can only play 3 on mine T.T

  • i play piccolo as well, think thatd help? how much they tend to run anyway?

  • I have had other wind instrument playing experiences. that does help.

by run you mean like cost?

a good one about 500 yuan. ie. 70 or so US dollars

an average one about 100 yuan. 15 US dollars i think? T.T im bad with math.

    run as in octaves?

I really dont know. tried google?

  • I don't know how to play piccolo, but dizi music usually not in staff. It's written with numbers (1-6, then 1 with a dot on top, for lower octaves there are dots on the bottom) and with lines under each note to indicate quarter notes, eighth notes, etc. You change the notes by placing your fingers over six holes, three for each hand. There are a lot of trills and grace notes. Experience with wind instruments will probably help you a lot.

  • @xoMistyheartxo i remember that dizi can at most reach three octaves, and it's not that hard to play

  • Sounds heavonly!

  • omgosh, i'm so inspired to pick up my dizi's again! i started learning this piece when my teacher gave it to me, but i never got very far in it...

  • I am sooo proud of being a Chinese.

  • This is more impressive than a Western flute could do! I really desire to learn about traditional Chinese instruments!

  • Yes NO321, traditional Chinese instruments are very amazing. Such as the Yangqin, Erhu, Dizi... they require a lot of skill to play. That is typical of East Asian instruments.

  • This is soo fucking beautiful man !!

  • wow really sounds like birds chirping. awesome virtuoso playing!

  • I have a cat here, and when I was listening the music the cat appeared, I think he was confused because he looked like he was hunting or something. Really astonishing. He thought it was a real bird...

  • Really? Thank you very much! So kind from you. Although I think you have surpassed me. Don´t be modest, the price is yours.

  • what about the mouse u were using? did the cat go for that as well?

  • Omg...I know this song...I tried playing but I take the tempo so much slower than this...yes, I play the chinese flute too.

  • I love Chinese flute! Sounds sooooo beautiful and pleasant to the ears! As a whole, I love flute! It is just so breath-taking!

  • what he timbre is "the birds in the trees"

  • this is such nice presentation which is nostalgic for me way back in late 90s when i was accepted in our local gue-kun (chinese music school) through my godfather. the chinese flute we called tong-shao (i believe it is fookien and not mandarin term) does have a sip sound if you play long enough and in between breaths wouldn't control your saliva from dripping in along with the music.hehe.(in reply to desiderium's comment)

  • well the 'zip' sound is produced by tongue and not by saliva..it that happened, a player won't have enough saliva for a concerto!

  • there's this funny....zip sound, if you know what i'm talking. it kinda bothers me haha. but i really like it. dont get me wrong i like that sip sound it's just uncomfortable for me to hear. lol

  • great timbre, and performance, thanks

  • Wow!! So nice!! I really want to learn!!
