the goodwoods themselves are not a separate set. they are pads that go onto ur kit. the madcatz cymbals only work with the rb2 kit. so as long as the goodwoods are on a rb2 kit, then yet it would work. if u have them on an rb1 kit, then no it wouldnt

That's a matter of personal opinion. For me, I prefer Vegas over Avid and Final Cut cause it's not as keyboard based. I use a jog/shuffle controller in conjunction with it and love it. Vegas, Final Cut, and Avid all do pretty much the same thing. It's just your GUI preference. I've used them all and happen to like the workflow and audio functionality of Vegas, but they're all good. Of course I do probably 60-70% of my stuff in After Effects and some additional sound stuff in Audition so yeah..:)
