Why not examine Kirk's solos? Then compare with some of Paul's early, Racer X-era stuff?

Then see what you think is "easy as hell.....".

And then see what you prefer. Going by your name, it's going to be the Metallica stuff. If so, then that is clearly the work of a less adept player (Gilbert > Hamnett).

I don't see why people ALWAYS have to compare guitarists' technical prowess. Composition is far more important.
