I keep coming back feeling the same way or worse than the first time I visited this page. This was a remarkable man. I am so angry that I can't tell him how much his music inspires me deep in my heart. His music just lifts the heart. It is fresh and pure and no one will eb=ver be able to replace him ever. My heart is broken by his death. Just 2 years old then but 46 now and very sad and depressed by his death. He has this affect on you. I am sorry for the band that perrished with him.
I am in tears. Actually crying because I was just a little kid when my parents would play all of his hits. I was too young to know and understand things back then, but now that I am all grown up I feel awful about this. I know it was years ago but it hurts. It really hurts. I am such a sentimental person when it comes to music and the loss of many of the great people that we lost. All we have is the videos of them and the music. I love you Otis. I really do. Gone but not forgotten.
When you get a minute check out my Video channel called:

There are a LOT of inspirational messages from Bishop T.D Jakes, Bishop Noel Jones, Dr. Jamal Bryant, as well as complete episodes of my favorite TV shows like "TV One's Unsung", "I hate Chris" etc....You'll also find videos of my favorite music artist's like Marvin Gaye, Enchantment, Al Green & Gospel Music !
I'm not sure if Otis Redding has EVER received the recognition & complete respect that an individual of his stature in the entire history of R&B/SOUL truly deserves. The man was, quite simply, a magnificent talent.........on every conceivable level. Video-clips like this are vivid reminders of an extremely "blessed" individual whose memory we should ALL cherish.......I know I certainly do. May Otis' spirit rest in God's eternal love.
Thanks,,Thanks ,,Thanks for posting this.. WOW. .. I gotta get this. dvd.. ,, Some sing for Fame and Money.. i believe Otis Reddings, would have sing for nothing, and at any Place. no matter how people was there.. and thats the Sign of a REAL SOUL MAN.. Again Thanks..
Still not sure if we understand the genius of this artist. What jewels we have in his recorded gifts we call songs. Can you feel his emotion in his song? OMG! I so hear it.
For people that don't understand the relationship between Otis and Steve Cropper, it was the equivalent of Mick and Keith. They would have been together the rest of their lives and I'm convinced they would've been as big as the Stones. They were the same age as the Stones and between 62' and 67' they made much more sophisticated music than the Stones. The Stones made music for thirteen year olds. Otis and Steve made music for adults. Otis never had filler on his albums. Early Stones had lots
@tomthefunky , hell yeah! I'm am behind you on this one. Maybe the quickest way to work the Stones comparison is to just listen to them cover "Satisfaction". It is very, very, very rare for an artist to be able to cover a well known & loved song & be able to over come peoples connection(attachment) to the one they heard & loved first ,but listen to them own "Satisfaction". They blow that song into a whole new realm.
