Pol Pot and his gang were not sophisticated enough in the manipulation and control of minds to have done this. The experts at this were inside Maoist China and advised Pol Pot on how to accomplish this. The cover up continues. The UN is so interested in running the trials to keep any evidence of outside influence out of the hearings.

Our history is full of ups and downs, but it would be terrible to drill into schoolchildren how their country is an awful tyrant deserved of annihilation. Hell, the British empire is remembered for its greatness, not the countless tribesmen and natives that it forced to submit to it.
I stayed in cambodia for 1 year and the locals still seem confused as to why these horrible events took place. I miss Cambodia so much. Its my favorate place.
