  • how many can peoples can you kill when you are psykopatchic and you have given little power

  • SHOULD STRING THE OLD FUCK UP

  • @HorizontalWorkout : Have at it. Dig him up and string up his bones.

  • Gotta love how she says "agrarian utopia". Not one mention of the word COMMUNISM

  • @osdon excellent point :)

  • @osdon

no point blaming the ideology, pol pot is the only one to blame.

  • @ugoodHomeBoy u ignorant fool what motivated the mass killings was the ideology! u are worthless

  • @sprucepantherkmt where did his weapons come from? financement? from western countries and other superpowers.

  • @2012istheendofjews

Unfortunately you are a bigot who has problems against the western authorities. You must be aware that most of the weapons used to carry out the genocide were axes and knives? guns and bullets were too expensives so they used whatever melee weapons they could find.

Stop blaming western countries for third world countries fault. Without the intent to kill weapons would have no use its the man that kills not the weapon.

  • Everyone wants to either hide genocide and violation of human rights or they wanna ignore it. I say this now and i hope people agree. DEATH TO THE MURDERERS, RAPISTS AND HARBENGERS OF MISERY.

  • That lady at the end was exactly right. The politics were influenced from the outside. Cambodia was part of the deal between Nixon/Kissinger and China. Pol Pot and his gang were not sophisticated enough in the manipulation and control of minds to have done this. The experts at this were inside Maoist China and advised Pol Pot on how to accomplish this. The cover up continues. The UN is so interested in running the trials to keep any evidence of outside influence out of the hearings.

  • @klard Fuck Nixon and fuck the chairman of china they should both pay for there crimes. These pigs should all be punished by death because putting them in a jail cell would probably be an upgrade from there shitty houses

  • the US talking about mass murder love it!

(*-*) hypocrties. But Pol Pot was a physcopath...Doesn't mean America's killings during the cold war (yes that's right America killed people during the cold war.)

Communism and capitalism are equally as murderous...

  • the people's republic of china supports pol pot and invading vietnam, in contrast to supporting mujahadeen during afghan-soviet war.

  • This is communism.

Thank God,USA and England saved the world from communism.

  • @uboot1967 And how did the Khmer Rouge come to power?

Every time the US touches a country it destabilises and backfires. They should have learned this after Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iran, Cambodia, Nicaragua, Columbia and so on. The United States have no respect for the sovereignity of nations.

  • @Tomminightmare agreed

  • @Peadarisback This is a disgrace not only was genocide commited here but now they make there children brainwashed. How dare you do this you disgrace yourselves

  • @Mider999 I don't disgrace myself...I just pointed out that capitalist nations have (a lot) of blood on their hands as well as communist one's.

Pol Pot was a mass murderer but he wasn't the only one doing it.

in Chille at the exact same time Augsto Pinchoet (a right wing dictator) was killing people and locking them in football stadiums which he turned into concentration camps...

  • @Peadarisback i wasnt talking about you mate. I was talking about the cambodians. They disgrace themselves to hide who did these things. How can they blame the vietnamese when the vietnamese were the ones sending them food?

  • @Mider999 simple. Propaganda...The modren-day Cambodian government is meant to be quite corrupt...Sure it's not killing it's people like Pol Pot did but it's lying to them...It's the same in England how their not told about the crime's of Oliver Cromwell or how in Japan there is very little mention of the Jappanes army mass-murdering 30 million Chiness men between the years 1937-1945...The government's don't want them to know.

  • @Mider999 for the reason that it would make people cynical about the past and they might (just might) start going against the government's.

  • @Mider999 even in America - history is dramaticly covered up (e.g. cold war period) to make it seem like America is slightly more heroic then it actually is.

Bill Clintion was a mass murderer and today he's a respected politican.

Same with Regan and JFK had his faults (Cuba) as well.

in China it's the same the Chiness authorites don't tell their people about Mao's crime's

  • @Peadarisback I already know all this mate. Who killed the native americans? Sure wasnt The boogeyman. who brought slaves to america it was the idea of a catholic priest to use native americans but yeah for hundreds of years slaves endured misery. We didnt have no equal rights for a long time. And we didnt have certain civil rights which women diserve. No i dont think they diserve abortions or to be so rude. Even today we wanna say oh the Iraqi's want us in Iraq i say we need our toops here

  • @Peadarisback You can make the "mass murderer" statement for every politician in power during wartime. It is a tired and clapped out argument.

Our history is full of ups and downs, but it would be terrible to drill into schoolchildren how their country is an awful tyrant deserved of annihilation. Hell, the British empire is remembered for its greatness, not the countless tribesmen and natives that it forced to submit to it.

  • I stayed in cambodia for 1 year and the locals still seem confused as to why these horrible events took place. I miss Cambodia so much. Its my favorate place.

  • how could they sue those bastards to courts when they were supported by America and China??

  • It's such a powerful video. It's a shame that the examples of Hitle, Stalin, and Mao was could not prevent this evil act.

  • Courage angel telling the true, please keep telling the true to the world.

  • Sweet. First comment. I love PBS. They do a good job.
