The 50 to 70 ton blocks that make up the King's Chamber are solid granite. Neither copper or bronze can cut granite. It takes highly-tempered steel blades coated in diamonds or carbide to cut granite and usually with water sluicing over them to keep them from overheating. Mainstream egyptology is neither true nor is it scientific.

The video really should have delineated better between what was generally accepted and what were simply Romer's own opinions. Most of what is presented is generally accepted. You are misunderstanding what the bit about the rate. The work was obviously pipelined, many blocks being worked at once. Every x minutes, on avg, one is finished. ~2.3 million blocks in 20yrs is ~4 minutes per block. Even if you extend that to a century (most unlikely) it's still ~22 minutes per block.
It took "20" years not 14...and there is no way in hell they could have laid a block in every 3 minutes. Besides, the 20 years supposedly includes the quarry, transportation, fitting and putting in place. I will not believe it until some demonstrates how that can be done with bronze chisels and rock. The video really should have delineated better between what was generally accepted and what were simply Romer's own opinions. Most of what is presented is generally accepted. But the documentary is poor, and has a sensationalist tone to it, encouraging people to throw the baby out with the bathwater, as evidenced by many of the comments. Ironically, this video which does a reasonable job of presenting the facts much of the time, has the discordant ring of untruth to it. I blame the journalist.

@canuk025 While the vid does have problems, it's now generally accepted that the pyramids were not built by slave labor, but by citizens. And the workmanship does suggest a labor of love. You are misunderstanding what the bit about the rate. The work was obviously pipelined, many blocks being worked at once. Every x minutes, on avg, one is finished. ~2.3 million blocks in 20yrs is ~4 minutes per block. Even if you extend that to a century (most unlikely) it's still ~22 minutes per block.

Remember, the Great Pyramid is freaking huge. Plenty of room for lots of crews to work. From that angle, it's just damned impressive, but not impossible.

where is the evidence for this Giant 400ft ramp? surely building a ramp like that would have been a huge job itself, they said the ramp was slippery with water, mud would dry up quickly, they'd need a constant supply of a vast amount of water. today the river is about 7km away from the pyramid, i'm sure the river was bigger or different then but do we know how big or where? also kufu being scrawled on a rock in an almost inaccessable part of the pyramid, isn't really "proof" of anything.

This has to be the most illogical reasoning for the building of these monuments I have watched. Firstly, no hieroglyphics found in the pyramid, or of their construction. Secondly, the building of the 'ramps' would have taken more resourses than the entire construction of the pyramids themselves. thirdly, you would expect that the construction of pyramids would only improve in skill over time, but the exact opposite seems to be the case. all later pyramids are of inferior quality.
