That is a good microphone, but the HD55 is no where near the best headphone. Maybe at it's price range, well it is in the top 5 atleast.

And the PC-360 is the best sounding headset for the buck, since its basically a HD555 with a good microphone. A good microphone is something that is often lacking, since most of the time its hard to understand people. lol

@MikeIzFresh i have the same question but i can tell yu that i think the 555's are better, not regarding budget and price! the 555's leak a lot of sound but sound quality is much better because ergonomic acoustic refinement and 5.1 surround sound! hope this helped

in my opinion they have nothing special . i just owned the akg k530 and compared them with the sh hd485 and hd555. the akg sound way better and are cheaper(but everyone has a differnet feeling about what sounds right to him)

Yeah, the 555s try to conquer the high and low range and fail on both ends. The Grado SR80i and Audiotechnica AD700s are better choices for the price. The SR80i has great lows and the AD700 has great highs.
