However, the general overhyped 'war on terror' campaign by Bush had much more sinister implications, such as justification for torture etc. Please study the detail of all political moves in the world. You can write Obama any time you want. He can watch your video any time he wants if you can get his attention. The idea of 2-way townhall meetings on the internet is BS. What's he going to do, read all 1000000 comments and watch 1000 videos and respond to them? Like it or not, even his youtube posts were top down.

No I don't want him to be in a bubble, but the internet is not be best medium for staying in touch with the pulse of the country. Write a letter. Make a phone call. Send a fax.

It is true that a huge database without the tools to use it is meaningless. However, there does exist powerful tools like ranking systems, data mining, networking etc, that CAN make even the biggest databases easy to use.
