Seriously, i'm level 30 and i'm still scared of this f***ing things, scared to even go into Dead Wind Cavern with the alien blaster and taking those things on.

(Probably the only time I would use the Alien Blaster in the whole game. Note: I play on Xbox, so I have the benefit of the doubt of ever having a mod that implants a guy that sells Alien ammo or being able to craft it.) :3 (Good mod idea if you haven't picked it up yet.) :D

@aala12 i went in there to grab the unique wepon mercy. i killed the mother dethclaw and legendary dethclaw only using a 357. know as lucky, and of course i took veroica with me :)

One thing I like about shotguns in the fallout games is the more realistic range, they can take out targets from a fairly decent distance, whereas in most games the pellets magically disappear the second they get farther then ten feet.

@mdude009 yep. theoretically, you could kill someone with a shotgun with its max range (depending on how strong it is, like a sniper has longer range than an M4A1) , at any distance

With the shotgun surgeon perk and magnum or coinshot rounds, the dinner bell will easily one-hit just about anything. I killed the legendary deathclaw with a single headshot from about ten feet away. And yet it's never included on lists of the best weapons!

@chargersphinx Accually, You Can't get poisoned by ANYTHING if you have the "Heartless perk.." However, If you choose to put your heart back in your body (At the end of OWB) You only get 90% Resistance, but if not - You Can't be poisoned.

@weto4 lol dont believe the Guides. I have the guide for FO3 GOTY edition + the Game, and it says the wweapons are in a certain place and they arent. its right about 90-95% of the time. Otherwise Orcidea is the Guide lol

For maximum effectiveness with this gun, I would highly recommend having the "shotgun surgeon" perk, as is has a -10 DT for all shotguns. With a guns skill of 100 and that perk, I was able to kill death claws in as little as 3 shots

Orcidea, i just have to let you know of this, if you put something in a fire geckos inventory, 300 flamer fuel pops up. If you drop it, it has the model of 5.56 rounds and you cant pick it up

To me Dinner Bell wasn't worth the quest when you can easily get a fully moded Hunting Shotgun, The only thing that Dinner Bell has over hunting shotgun is few points of damage personally I prefer the Riot Shotgun total crowed control even more so when use with Shotgun Surgeon , And Stay Back , and use with Explosives.
