  • I'm a male 30 years old suffering from FMS

  • ace8842, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 25 years ago. None of the anti-depressants worked. Neither did the then lauded Glucosamine/Chondroitin "remedy" which has been recently 'resurrected" as if it's something new! IMO, those who write books about THEIR "new studies", etc., are no different than former authors. THEY make a lot of money off gullible people in pain who are grasping for ANYTHNG that sounds as if it might work. My ORTHOGANOL chiropractor has helped me some; but it's temporary.

  • His protocol has not worked for me after 10 months and $5,000.

  • @ace8842 Where/are you seeing him for CFS? Why didn't 'it work for you do ya think ?

  • Where to begin? This guy has 147 treatments listed online and expects patients to go through them one at a time. I expect more analysis from an "expert". I don't want to have to reinvent the wheel. I also had numerous pinched nerves, which were treated with some success with ultrasound (a treatment Dr. T doesn't mention). Why was Maestro's comment marked as spam?

Get a DERMAWAND. I don't know why it works, but it does.

  • It's not quack remedies when there are studies to back it up. For example, there are previous studies backing up the fact that dormant viruses like Epstein Barr can really affect fibro patients. I've been on a protocol similar to Dr. Teitelbaums and have seen a hell of a lot more improvement than with conventional treatment.

  • Be weary of doctors that claim they can treat CFS successfully. Remember if it sounds to good to be true it probably is. As pissed off as I am at main stream dr's who are so arrogant they think they KNOW our illness is in our head's, at least they have the integrity not to BS desperate people out of what little precious cash they have on quack remedies that don't work.

  • I have known Dr. T for several years and in my own personal option Dr. T is motivated by true compassion and in no way is some mainstream doctor. The comment noted ""highest rated" is just one persons option and it doesn't sound like this person (no disrespect) is properly informed, but he or she is entitled to their own opinion. One must be well informed in regards to complicated medical conditions. Awareness is required to help get these treatments lower in cost and covered by insurance.

  • Gurus who claim to have cures & tell you to avoid sugar, take protein, vitamins, antibiotics, or use acupuncture or take homeopathic remedies, don't eat glutimin, do eat raw vegtibles etc. etc. for the treatment of CFS are not giving you this information based on studies that show they are effective. Reputable docs don't do this. Go to quackwatch and look the treatments they are promoting up to see if their are any reputable studies to support them. Best just save your money avoid the gurus.

  • @antares4141 Part One: Best intentions. Rumor, judgement & gossip are not helpful without the facts. That site you mention has nothing substantial I have looked-up real charlatans like Kevin Trudeau there before, but you can't expect the site to be fully comprehensive on every topic, as well what is the sites intention if not only to sell advertising. Are you familiar with Dr. Teitelbaum's double blind placebo published study in the Journal of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome? Be well.

  • @antares4141 Part 2: Teitelbaum is the most knowledgeable and compassionate MD I encountered. I understand your frustration, however making judgments about people you don't know understand may not be helpful to your health & well being not to mention others. If you know his complete story you will find out he was never a mainstream doctor. Sick, I lost health, my house on the beach & my business, not to mention my great girlfriend, but what have I gained. Be informed not misinformed. Be well.

  • @sweetiepienumber1 I stuck to fact, therapies he promotes not supported by his peers IE main stream. Please give me a link to that study you mention I will read it. Used to have a bone with main stream not anymore. Would rather Doc be honest say he can't help than be "compassionate" tell me he cure me & empty my wallet. 14 year veteran now wasn't for support from my dad I would be dead. What keeps me going is the hope I can find something that helps share with others, and I don't want to die.

  • That for that, a nice interview, I have had CFS & FM since 1989.
