Excellent tutorial! this is my frist tune and i learnt it in less then a week (mostly thanks to Marty) but i was wandering in the last chorus instead of finishing after the G chord theres a little bit on the end, (the bit that goes 'if i could start again') do you just repeat the sequence? Cheers!

I learnt this a while back including with the droning G on 1st string in the chorus, if you really accent that it sounds great and morelike the piano part. Also on the verse only strum the top 3 strings (or 2 in the case of the D) after picking the low notes, or fingerpick them. Another alternative for the C to D is to slide the whole C shape up 2 frets and let the open strings ring

Keep repeating it. I'm a beginner too and I often have cracks in sound when I switch into D chord from C or Am, but it takes practice to be able to catch it while playing. Just keep moving your fingers from one chord to another and muscles should memorize the movement.

@IStennaI the number stand for the frets. 3 would be third fret. 0 would be no fret. and then 1 would be 1st fret and so on so when it says likee 0-3-2-1-x-x it means play chords E A D G but for chord E dont hold down on any fret. A you would hold down on the 3rd fret. D you would hold down on the 2nd fret. and then G would be the first fret. (btw i have no idea if thats a chord or not its just an example lol)

Love how simple he makes the lessons. If everyone taught guitar (or, piano, fiddle, viola, etc) everyone would want to start becoming muscians. I didn't start until age 50, when I became disabled. Three sons in FW Youth Orchests, who play, respectively, 5 instruments, 3, & 8. I think that the best way to learn an F chord is to just rely on your muscle memory.What I mean by saying that is that you learn your fingering and that you most certainly don`t think of x`s or strings at all.Once you are so used to the fingering just start playing those tree notes over and over again,or as well try to aim for those notes/strings,but always try to look at your right hand at first.That`s how I got it down with a Green Day`s song-21 guns.As Marty said it-just keep on practicing!
