  • Propably the best track in history of the series

  • Best Final Fantasy of them all! I loved the credit music for this game too!

    Go

  • @Kidaru Go Uematsu! *

  • this is my favourite thing ever.

  • @ravenzephyr

i feel you, comrade. best ending theme ever.

  • seriously, the best ending music of all time. swells me up in the chest with emotion everytime. mixing in all these character themes, such beautiful nostalgia.

  • When Shadow's section comes up, I can't help but shed a tear

  • 9:16 ;_; i let out manly tears, i'm not even ashamed.

  • I can't thank you enough for this video. No music touches me like this does, especially Locke and Celes' theme.

  • i dont care what people think...

but this is the BEST FF ENDING THEME EVER... period....

  • I actually kept a save file for FF6, that was right at the end, for years, just so I could listen to this whenever I wanted

  • I'll pay for VIP tickets at the next Distant Worlds if they play this =)

  • @gunpei you and me both man, I've been to it 4 times and would kill to hear them play this ><. and ppl may consider this blasphemy but I would be ok if they occasionally cut out the Opera(the only thing of comparable length they play) and played this instead. FF6 for life.

  • 7:50 mark has been edged in my memory since the first time I beat the game in the 90s

  • this bring out old memories

  • oh the nostalgia

  • I would love to hear a fully orchestrated rendition of this entire ending sequence.

  • @Tank207 so do i pal so do i that would be epic hopfully if the next distant worlds concert would play this

  • It's a pity I haven't had the pleasure to play this game before. You know, I'm 17, so this is not a game my generation would play to. But... man, I've just finished it and it's the greatest game EVER! The plot, the characters, the music, the atmosphere, the meaning... Everything. They don't make games like this anymore. What makes me sad is that my generation won't be able to play this (or they don't want to). This is trully Art. Long live Uematsu, Amano and Sakaguchi. We need them.

  • @yuffie24neddea24

im 27 and is good to hear what a 17 years old think about this game, its really a classic, and yes.. FFs are like this anymore... now its all about the visual and graphics, and they forget the important things..

  • What is it about the music beginning that makes me sad? its like saying:its ok you did the best you can you fell into a black hole of despair when the world was in ruin and many espers were killed and then you rose up gathered and slew kefka and brought peace.

The espers died but you did the best job you could have done.

It has this bittersweet essence that in the end is the perfect ending

  • I love how the music ends perfectly with the video.

  • dude, this is way longer than dancing mad. but iti is sooo worth the hear.

  • what makes Final Fantasy Vi great? A epic ending of 20 FUCKING MINUTES!

  • I will admit that some of the game music of today is pretty good, but its nothing comparied to old ones like these

  • FF6 the greatest video game soundtrack ever made. I would love to have Uematsu do them all over in a contemporary format.

  • my favorite part is the transition into Edgar/Sabin's theme, so epic sounding.

  • wow am i the only one that noticed that 3:04 to 3;43 is FF 8's Waltz for the moon

  • @MugenGekido

    Same Style =/= Same Song

  • @MugenGekido

    OMJ your right! 0_o

  • reminds me of the simpler times...

  • @Justindawg1506 One reason why games back then were better than today: Shit was simpler back then.

  • I owe my childhood to the music of this game.

  • Definitely my favorite FF ending and ending theme. Really emotional.

  • i dont even under stand why people even put final fantasy 7 first before final fantasy 6...to me i think your crazy.

  • You know what happen to Rpg's like this they died back in 2000 thats what happen this is still and will always forever be the best final fantasy game to ever be created in the 90's hands down from the music to the story line. everything was so beautifully crafted, even till this day there is no final fantasy right now that even tops this game not even final fantasy 7 or 13. if you have played this final fantasy right here back in the early 90's

  • @shinku222222 The truth was gaming in the 90s was better in general

  • Final Fantasy 6, Final Fantasy 7 and Final Fantasy 10 were the best games in the Final Fantasy series by far. The characters, the story, the gameplay, just beautiful. Final Fantasy 13 is nothing compared to the old Final Fantasy trilogy. Games are amazing these days but the new Final Fantasy games are nothing compared to the old ones. That's probaly only characters from Final Fantasy - Final Fantasy 10 are in the Kingdom Hearts series.

  • I am a 27 year old man, I work hard and play rough. I love hitting things and flirting with women at the bar. But...for some reason...I still get teary eyed at the Shadow part...so sad yet heroic...facing ones demons and deciding to stop running...goddamn I loved this ending. Most memorable video game moment of my entire life, and I played alot of them.

  • @dorgrim you know what happen to Rpg's like this they died back in 2000 thats what happen this is still and will always forever be the best final fantasy game to ever be created in the 90's hands down from the music to the story line. everything was so beautifully crafted, even till this day there is no final fantasy right now that even tops this game not even final fantasy 7 or 13. if you have played this final fantasy right here back in the early 90's

  • @dorgrim i'll be honest. Im a freshmen in college and i've never played final fantasy (any one). The music, however, always struck me as special. In the FF games the music is special, unique, and different than any other FF game. 6 however has that special element where all the characters and music is memorable.

  • @MrSuperman216 You should make it a plan to play them sometime in the near future. The music has an extra sentimental touch when you've played the game, and in the context of the VI's ending, this music WILL make you tear up.

  • prolly the best RPG I ever played

  • The opening part, from 0:01 till 0:37 seem like a homage to Legend Of Zelda to me.

  • Fun fact: @6:37, Locke's theme is the harmony.

  • Ah, Shadow. Listening to the soundtracks like this makes me all nostalgic. Gonna go buy this game right bloody now..

  • Strago's theme is the best.

  • Hearing Shadow's theme fully orchestrated for the first time, while watching him complete his redemption...one of the most amazing moments of my video-gaming life.

  • Agreed. Brought tears of happiness and sadness, choked me up some too.

  • Also when it showed the coin at the end with the brothers, and the change of music. That was awesome.

  • @starloft3

i think i started to cry at that

  • words cant discribe how awesome this ending is.

final fantasy best games ever made

  • If there's one thing I love about Final Fantasy VI that separates it from the rest, it's the theme songs for each individual character. The ending theme is simply epic, giving each character the credit they deserve!

The transition from theme to theme is just beautiful, especially the one at 6:14-7:27. I remember this game forever! Go Final Fantasy VI! Go Uematsu!

  • @JDZer0ski11z Every character shared their part in this elaborate and epic story. It'll live on to be one of my favorite games amongst any other.

  • Best video game ever

  • Gau find shortcut!

  • epic ending, i loved the whole ensemble cast idea.. very different from following an unlikely young male protagonist with a sword :)

  • this brings about a feeling of awe, this video game changed my life. Thank you for posting this :)

  • Thank you for the memories

  • Thanks for the upload mate!

  • No problem! :)

  • what ever happened to rpg's like these peyserconley

  • I don't know. They don't make them like they used to anymore.

Or at least that's the opinion of me and my generation. That's life. Everything keeps changing as the generations go by. The games, the world, everything. It's the sad truth. But if nothing ever changed, we wouldn't be sitting here appreciating these games and reminiscing how great they were.

  • words of wisdom words of wisdom

  • Amen.

  • @PeyserConley But then again, if the world never changes, we would still be stuck in 90's with Rick Astley and bad Police Academy movies.
