hey master jared could you make some lesson on when to apply the fills on song, cause when im playing drums i cant insert some fills on it so im just playing it with pure drum beats... thank you
You must be the most helpful man on Youtube, seriously! Most drum tutorials are either just exhibitions of the guy in the video where they don't explain anything or else get bogged down in over explaining stuff! Before I found your videos I'd watched hundreds and very few had been helpful, thanks Jared!
Hey Jared! ;D You are just so chill, you are the best drum teacher EVER!! Its SO easy to learn watching your videos!! You not one of those who stresses over everything! Thanks for the help! You have my respect!! :D
Thank you Jared!!! I now know that my half hour rudiment practise on things like the doubles is useful. It's easy to forget when you're just going through the motions and analysing your form what these strokes can do for your drumming! Now I've seen them put into an awesome fill, I think I'll be practising my doubles with a little less tedium now ^^ I'll have heard fills with double strokes before and though "sweet, how'd they do that?" now I know what it is :P Thanks again!
crazy comments lads, Jared is a phenom on the drums, unbelievable talent and I have been playing for 30 years myself. Great lessons he has posted here....keep it up man
Finally got this down. It's an awesome fill once once you get it right. Gonna sign up for the Drum fill system next. Thanks a lot Jared Falk and the freedrumlessons team!
i want to put mics on my drum set.and i dont now what recoreder to buy.the problem is that i need one with at leaste 12 microfone inputs.what do you suggest me?

This is a little off topic, but how do you go about tuning the drum set. And one more question. How far should the bass drum kick be away from the drum ( the actual thing that hits the drum). Sorry new drummer here.
I just ... this thing of the trillon fill formula is great, but... I guess (or at least me when playing on my band) I cant really thing where, or how to play the fill, it is just like a feeling with the sound, the fills are the only thing that makes the drums on a song sound so especial, 80% of the song is the same patron, so the best chance to have fun is when you do a drum fill... and if you just "learn" fills... it will sound weird, at least me
Hey this video is awesome and very helpful :) What cymbals would you reccomend for say an intermediate drummer who plays rock music and is just starting to get gigs? Thanks :)
This would sound great to a jazz beat

@1234fivesixseven8 I sometimes use a a hybrid heel toe / slide, but mainly play heel-toe for everything that I need to play.

@freedrumlessons are they a good price or pretty expensive?
Musefan6732 1 year ago
@Musefan6732
Unless you can find a good deal on used ones, they're pretty expensive. The sound and price is comparable to Sabian HHX's. :)
MattShankDrummer 1 year ago
@Musefan6732 pretty damn expensive, but really really worth it

hey jared, in some videos you have Sabian Cymbols and a felt drive double bass pedal, does the company give you a drumset, or do you have your own?
