Naturally it was the last song in the list since I worked my way up from the bottom...I came seeking this out because I heard a piece of fan music in a large collection for something entirely unrelated that claimed to be an original piece of music by the person in question.

I have both this video and the song playing right now, and they match up EXACTLY. Someone is about to get an extremely angry earful from me about plagiarism.

Always makes me feel good, and uplifted. Looking at the wonders I build, makes me proud of my achievements against the high level cpus... It never plays at inappropriate times, and transitions well into battle music. I always find myself humming this after I play rise of nations. All 26 ron songs are on my iphone XD

this flute melody is also being reused in Rise of Legends. although the music is very much modified, sometimes if you play as Vinci, you'll hear this song too. but it's somewhat altered.

I have not played Rise of Nations in years, and I remember very little about it.

wish they made a new rise of nations, same theme and gameplay but even more advanced etc, absolutely loved it, especially on hard when everyone had nukes all hell broke lose and the game ended 10 seconds there after.

This song reflects all the wonders that can be created in rise of nations and more.

When the song reaches the forte it is also perfect for showing a battle between two armies of muskets shooting each other in turns during the enlightment age.

When I hear this one, I can feel how the lonely flute at the beginning represents the small simple town that you start with struggling to make it. Then at 1:22 that makes me realize that my people have grown much since the game began, and yet they have kept their culture alive, untouched by outside influences, they do not know of the concept of doubt, fear and defeat.

This is a really relaxing music,and somehow I find it really inspiring. Sounds like a song of hope.

I must say,RoN is the best RTS ever,but a good 50% is thanks to the epic musics that it has. I'm never gonna sell this masterpiece.

I just listened to the track from the game files and it has the same flickering sound, so the problem was unfortunately there from the beginning for me when I uploaded this :(.

Friend, this game is pretty old and the music tracks were digitized at 22kHz. Don't expect too much of hi-fi quality, these were quite good compositions by the time

Some of the best music ever in a rts. Right up there with AOE. RON was always my fav RTS, but the multilayer just sucked. Thanks for putting this up!

AOE games, RON and even Empire Earth all had some great piece of music (RON being my personal favourite game of them). I agree that the multiplayer wasn't that good (Gamespy urghh.. :P), but with friends it was big fun.

Yeah this song just brings back so many memories. When I first got it me and my best friend had 2 pcs set up in different rooms and we would play LAN. I still remember threating him to get his ships out of my harbor or I would unleash my secret weapon which we had never used b4(the ICBM baby)

haha thats awesome, but when we had our computer redone, i had to re install the game, but it doesnt install for some reason, it gets to 77% then sais it can't install tracks/wav.hearth and then it sais "make sure the file isnt in use" i dont know what to do!

Try searching for that file. It might be on you computer or something. However, it sounds like the install is being corrupted. Try using another disc from one of your friends who has the game. I would install the game but I can not find the disc. I have looked for about 2 years off and on. Ah maybe they will release RON2 or something in the near futur.
