So I've never been to WDW I live in Cali so I've only been to Disneyland. The reason I'm looking this up is because of Kingdom Keepers 3 & I'm not really getting the point of this ride. Can someone please explain it to me?

I waited 1 hour for this stupid ride. That was the shortest and most pointless ride ever. Waste of my time. I couldve rode soarin or space ship earth. And you go up the longest hills and the drop is only 5 feet. BULLCRAP!

@angel12235 You obviously can't appreciate any other country's culture and lifestyles.It's not like there is a ton of acreage in the Norway pavilion for them to put a city out there.If you had any sense you'd realize that each country in Epcot,is representing a small fraction of what each country is like.But you are obviously so "full of it" that you can't appreciate what you do see.And yes,I happen to like the Maelstrom at the Norway pavilion.

I went on this ride when I was only 4 years old. my mom and dad thought it was just a plain boat ride, but it wasn't :p I'm still scared of the ride, even today!

lol I always loved this ride. I haven't been on it in a good little minute. Everytime I go to Disney its always with my cousins who want to stay in Magic Kingdom because they are only like 6 or Hollywood Studios but not EPCOT because they only like 2 rides in it. Plus this ride is in the World Showcase and I always get lost.

I hated this ride so much, it sucks they didnt go with their original idea for it.

Norways history is either boring or bloody (which I doubt disney will ever give us in a ride). Thats why we invented the trolls, giants, elves, ect. Because its fun and entertaining. A story about a lost viking party beging tracked by trolls IS norways history.

Remember norway for its lore, not because we have oil rigs and polar bears.

Umm yes you should brunodale ...sometime you half to wait that long and even longer 1st time for us was 30 min,and the 2nd time was 50+.Yes I can wait an hour before closing and get on at 5 min.

You should never have to wait that long. If the wait time is over 5 mins, just go back and ride it later. It's really fun when you have been drinking at all the Epcot countries. The girls there are definately hot Norwegian babes.

Take a valium and chill out. This ride at Disney World in Florida was built by the country of Norway. It is currently sponsered by Norway and employs citizens of Norway. Just like the other countries at World Showcase.

@shigsipthere's sometimes polar bears in norway proof : The polar bear is found in the Arctic Circle and adjacent land masses. there is evidence that they range all the way across the Arctic, and as far south as James Bay in Canada, and there have been sightings as far south as Berlevag on the Norwegian mainland and the Kuril Islands in the Sea of Okhotsk.

Is this a good ride for a 6 year old girl? She gets scared of everything dark. She missed out on Big thunder mountain, and didn't like Splash Mountain and HATED Dinosaur. Is this a good ride for her? I want to go on this really badly but i don't want my my friends sister (The 6 year old girl) to be scared to death. I am going with my friends to Disney in December and i don't want a little girl screaming and crying and whining about a little ride.

I always thought they should have Cuba in the world showcase, and they can use the mold for this ride as the Cuban ride. Instead of a norwegian wooden boat there would be a raft. When that creepy eye opens up at the beginning, that can be Castro seeing you sneak away. The trolls can be the coast guard, replace the polar bears with sharks. And your goal is to make it to Florida. At the end of the ride, the lady on the mic can say "Welcome to America!", and hands you your papers!
