When will Obama finally do a press conference? The last one he did was long before the convention. Im still laughing at that one, the way he stumbled and stuttered throughout it.
What is our "cause" in Iraq? WMDs? No. Oil? No. Freedom? No. Defending America? No. The neo-cons would have you believe it is to "maintain stability in Iraq." What a joke, there is no stability, and it will go on and on unless we pull our troops out now and take care of our returning troops. As long as we are there, more soldiers will die and there will be no "stability."
Go Obama. Go Biden. This speech has given good hope for America and the world's future. Obama, go to the presidential seat. McCain, go to he** with your a*d!
What matters here are the issues. Do you want universal health care? I would hope so. Do you want our soldiers to stop dying for a false cause? I would hope so. Do you want new jobs to be created by using our tax dollars not on the war but here in out country so that our economy can get back on track? I don't know about you guys but i think that is the best plan and right now...Obama is the only person claiming to do it. I actually just wish that Ron Paul got the republican nomination.
How ridiculous a claim McCain's camp has put out. They've been waiting for something to jump on and complain about... they must've gotten tired of waiting. Not only is this lipstick on a pig bit a common phrase, not only is it an apt expression, but it's also something JOHN MCCAIN has said purposely while speaking about Hillary Clinton's campaign!! DO NOT BE IGNORANT and give this claim of sexism further fuel! Please rise above it and move forward. Let's discuss issues, not comments!
Poor Obama is feigning ignorance today for his crude remarks. But, hes a cheapass politician who ran this kind of snide campaign before. Look it up. Everyone knows that "pig" and "fish" are both used crude derogatory slang for women. Obama is a filthy creep. Maybe this kind of talk works against women with his relatives in Kenya, where hes adored. But, it wont work here. Down with Obama-Biden.
This was the speech of a lifetime from the candidate of a lifetime. Not only did he inspire, unite and GALVANIZE us to action across party lines, but he also set forth with stern conviction a detailed plan and a way forward--and he didn't have to stoop to any lies and thuggish nastiness like we saw in the RNC. That baseness and evil is the GOP's speciality. Obama will win. We've all had enough and he is our best hope. He's brilliant, dedicated, and a capable leader, and his time has come.
When the stadium lights go out, and those Styrofoam Greek columns are hauled back to some studio lot — what exactly is Barack Obama's plan to make sure I keep my job? If my boss gets taxed to hell, I lose my job and thats not gonna happen since I have bills to pay. Im for McCain and Sarah Palin. Plus, that jerk Biden has hair plugs
in this speech, i see blacks, whites, asians, hispancis, etc etc
in john mcsame's speech, all i saw was old white men w/ bald spots in the back of their heads. i think all mcbush's supporters r prejudists/racists, heck, IM REPUBLICAN! IM WHITE! I HAVE A BALD SPOT ON MY HEAD! GO OBAMA
You are a bloody racist. I don't care if all the people in the audience are Klingons! Black, white, asian, Latino, or Negrito -- I am only interesting in who will make my country stronger and safer!
Empty promises! Anyone who keeps blaming everything on Bush is just ignorant. To blame Bush for Katrina shows he doesn't even know that the dumbass local gov't down there sat on things for a month before they realized they should have called the Federal Gov't in from the beginning! A lot of these issues cannot be resolved as simply as waving a wand. He sure seems to think so though. Get real!
i am not impressed with either candidate this time around. i feel bad because i am usually a starch liberal....i just can't get behind someone with crazy pipe dreams like this. and mccain is an idiot repubadub old white man with old balls.

So ... the gist of this speech is that McCain, a man with over twice the political experience (in terms of years, not to mention that Obama has been focusing on furthering his career the whole time instead of working for the people he represents), is patriotic and wants to do good for the country but is doesn't know as well as Obama how to do it?
Patriotism and Knowledge are very different. Economists of all walks of life agree that to advance the individuals in this country, Barack's economic plan cuts more taxes for more people.
McCain's would merely increase GDP, increase income inequality, and cut taxes for the wealthiest Americans leaving out between 66 and 100 million Americans. This is unfair, this is not right, and it will not help America but hurt it
obama... what an imbecile. Does he ever actually say anything substantial in his speeches. Yes he is an amazing speaker, but all his speeches make you do is feel good. Feelings don't last. & that was a quality mis-use of scripture he used there at the end. And his voice wavers whenever he has to say God bless america.

i'm not american but i have to admit that this is a Great speech and convention. Obama has done incredible things for his country and people in this short amount of time, he has lifted the spirits of so many ameicans and others around the world, and brought hope back.
Amazing speech. I'm a Obama supporter all the way. I don't expect a mircale if he's elected, change takes time. And I know that he's a politician. I just know that our country cannot handle another Republican President. If it doesn't work it doesn't work. But I don't think he'll make our country's economy worse, Republicans...I'm pretty sure they don't give a fuck about me since I'm below the poverty line.
I don't think McCain can deliver a better speech; People are ranking his oratory skill equal to JFK. I think McCain Response to this speech sums up the fact he has come to terms with the fact he is not the man to lead America into the 21st century. I respect McCain however he is not the man for the job.
Brooks & Dunn - Only in America, good song, but they supported Bush's re-election >:( !
I wish he would only pick songs of bands that support him! (Like Springsteen's The Rising)
BTW, Brooks & Dunn have another great song (IMHO): "Ain't Nothin' 'Bout You", unlike a lot of country songs, that one has a great hook! A lot of country music has just mediocre songwriting, but there are some gems!
Incredible! Could not have been a better speech! I could not imagine being a republican and not being convinced to vote for him after such a presentation. But then I could not imagine being a republican in general, so I supposed i'm biased. I digress...
Great speech and convention. Obama has done incredible things for his country and people in this short amount of time, he has lifted the spirits of so many, and brought hope back. Obama 08.

Obama 08.

I agree with you to a point, but you cannot expect complete change all at once. Baby steps. Obama is doing something so great for the US that you can excuse a little pandering.
