Chad Michael Murray is coming back for an episode im so happy! i haven't seen an episode since this one. im still pissed that they had to leave the show and i wish that Hillary was returning to but im looking forward to seeing lucas again. i wount know what is going on since iv missed 2 season but i have to see Luke again.

@Upendiful The MBA!!!!! LOLOLOL. It's obvious that the producers of One Tree Hill didn't rely on the basketball storylines to draw in their main audience. (Though I'm a guy and particularly enjoyed that as well as the drama of the show)
cutest baby ever!! I found it funny how much Jamie looks like Lucas. Theres a rummer going around that Chad is coming back for the 9th season, but not Hilarie and they didn't mention the kid so its probably false.
I always cry when I watch this scene because I know its the last Leyton scene ever. I really wish Chad and Hilarie had come back for at lest a few episodes is seasons 7 and 8

While I was never really a leyton fan (more loved brucas and jeyton) having only got into OTH from s2 and had to get s1 on dvd to really understand the whole love triangle, I do see that ultimately lucas and peyton had to end up together. But even though it was the intention for them to be the true soulmates of the show I believe they ended up making naley the best supercouple of the show.
As for the show without them, yes they are missed however I still feel it works great without them there.

@AnnieBaee There was a time jump. Not only evident by the baby's growth, but by Nate's SL...He wouldn't go from 'called up' to playing in the NBA without some months of training/practice first, lol.
Much though I'll miss these two's angsty romance (it was, after all, one of the key reasons why OTH remained my guilty for years) I can't help but be pleased with how their story was wrapped up at the end. Them driving away in the Comet which came to symbolise their love through the course of the show, camera fading to the Rivercourt, the final two voiceovers... it was a perfect ending for them. It would have been great if we got to see Leyton&Naley develop family dynamics in s7, but oh well.
I know it's a sad thing that the most important characters from OTH have all gone but atleast we still have Brooke, Haley and Nathan who are three of the five most important characters and they are a reason why you should watch season 7!
I think they should have killed them off & Brooke get the baby. Like when they were driving, a semi hit them or something. It would've been sooooo much easier. GAY. season 7 was decent. I watch still because it's my favorite show. I just watch it now because I root for Brooke & Julian. Brooke's my favorite character but Leyton will always be my favorite couple.

Also Peyton and Lucas may have been the show's two main protagonists however the show still features Brooke Nathan and his wife Haley they are popular and interesting in their own right as long as the writers can still come up with interesting stories OTH could still live on for a few more seasons
Ex. ER lasted for 9 long seasons after 2 main protagonists George Clooney and Juliana Margulies left
@lettersEZ12 chad was too demanding in renegotiating his contract, so they decided to drop him. since peyton and lucas was the main love match from season 1 and they had just gotten married, they didn't want to break them up. That is the reason they dropped hilarie as well. Search for her on youtube, she has some video blogs out where she discusses leaving the show.
In other words, Chad 'got too big for his britches', to quote my grandmother and Hilarie had to pay for it as well.
im gunna miss the brooke and peyton scenes the most in the next season. They were like the perfect couple, I know they wernt a real couple but you know what i mean. They had an amazing friendship.

It would have been the perfect series finale. Down from tying up all loose ends to the final shot of the Comet driving away to Lucas' last line. Beautiful.

i loved leyton but i dont get why people are saying that they are the most important characters and without them the show wont be the same :S all the characters are important - Nathan, Haley, Brooke, Mouth, Skills, Dan, Millie, Julian, Jamie....etc??? I mean the show is still just as good as it was and for a change everything isnt focused on leyton. I miss them but the show is still worth watching!

James Lafferty have been my favorite since the show started but I have to say that the center of the story are Lucas and Peyton without them I don't know what think about

The episode was written as a potential series ender if the show wasn't picked up for season 7
Also Peyton and Lucas may have been the show's two main protagonists however the show still features Brooke Nathan and his wife Haley they are popular and interesting in their own right as long as the writers can still come up with interesting stories OTH could still live on for a few more seasons
Ex. ER lasted for 9 long seasons after 2 main protagonists George Clooney and Juliana Margulies left

No one is going to watch Season 7 because most people only ever watched it for either Peyton or Lucas.

@lettersEZ12 chad was too demanding in renegotiating his contract, so they decided to drop him. since peyton and lucas was the main love match from season 1 and they had just gotten married, they didn't want to break them up. That is the reason they dropped hilarie as well. Search for her on youtube, she has some video blogs out where she discusses leaving the show.
In other words, Chad 'got too big for his britches', to quote my grandmother and Hilarie had to pay for it as well.

im gunna miss the brooke and peyton scenes the most in the next season. They were like the perfect couple, I know they wernt a real couple but you know what i mean. They had an amazing friendship.

there is going to be a next season but hilarie burton and chad micheal murry are not comming back it wont be the same without them i love leyton they were the best couple on there and lucas was the main character and peyton was better than brooke but brooke is funny and i am still going to watch season seven but it wont be the same but im glad lucas and peyton had a happy ending............!

It would have been the perfect series finale. Down from tying up all loose ends to the final shot of the Comet driving away to Lucas' last line. Beautiful.

I cant wait for the next season, but this ending was perfect and i would accept it if the show was to end. I just hope the ending of the series will be good cuz right now i dont think anything could top this ending.

i love this show and want them to make another season but this ending just kinda seems right.everyone had a happy ending & ther were no big cliffhangers.the next season mite just ruin it by not having leyton & then having to come up with another ending.here leyton were happy & alive.brooke+julian were back together and nate was in the nba.Perfect happy endings all round.with another season all that wud hav 2 b spoiled 2 make for the drama even if we'd all be happy watchin them live perfect lives

imo, this would have been and amazing finale for just the whole show.
