Let the truth be told , the J Settes are a better squad. With all respect GG's are very good also. You cant determine which squad is better from one video ... its a damn video. Looks totally different in person. Just looking from previous years an where they are now , JSU wins. Its hard as hell to do what they do and make it look uniformed. The GG's had more moves and moved across the field. They used their entire stage and we eye catching. J-settes stayed in one place and repeated alot of things, at least that what it looked like because they didnt move. Im not saying one is better than the other but the GG's did entertain me in more than one way.

Well IMO: GG's did do a lot of Jsette styled counts on the field...I could really Jsettes movements on the film because the camera was closer up on GG's than the Jsette's...however I saw better Technic in Jsettes...from what I was able to capture...GG's routine is kinda look like a highschool imitating Jsette's ...I know two Memphis High schools squads that will give it to them!

I do agree....the GG's have approved alot over the years. There is nothing really technical about either routine, well they both did a few turns here and there. No fouettes or pirouettes. The GG's routine was cute, simple, and clean....but the j-settes out danced them. I guess if the j-settes would have settled for mediocracy then the non-jsette fans would have something better to say. The UAPB Golden Girls won this, hands down! Their routine was a lot cleaner & their moves were executed better. I didnt like their ending as well, but the overall routine was better.The J-Settes, had 2 much going on with the outfits for one...blue & white...NO!!!! That was not a good look! As a former dancers, the J-Settes routine was more complex and cleaner. The routine that the uapb girls did were water-down J-Sette moves from 1998. As for the uniforms, they were 1 of 100's of uniforms they have. All-in-all, uapb was no competition. So even this average performance by the J-Settes looked better than the "jsette performance" uapb TRIED to do

The GG's were good; but, I've seen those moves done by the JSettes already. The hand-and-arm movements, the kicks, and the on-the-ground performance has already been mastered by the Jsettes. A good routine because it could have been a Jsette routine a few years back. Good work by the GG's. They have definately improved.

Actually those types of moves were done mostly by gymnastic in the early 1900's or maybe even earlier, long before cheerleading squads and band dance squads started using them. Thats a fact!!! It is not our to claim. All dance moves or anything for that matter, creates an inclination that is copied and reproduce, sometimes in a better a way. (example: Band Songs). Thats life! As a former Prancing J-Sette (Grad 02) I do agree partially, youtube is a venue filled with an array of opinions and alleged dancers. In this clip, both squads did well. Neither was anything to give an award for. Yes, the J-Settes of the 80's & 90's paved the legacy to the dance craze wit collegiate dance squads today. not to credited one more than the other but, even the J-Settes of the new millennium seem have the best techniques around. it is what it is.

GSU Orchesis 2005, SU Dancing Dolls 2003,2007, and 1 Jsette 2003-06. When it comes to technique, technically dancing, i have to give it ot the Dolls and Orchesis. However as u can see every hbcu dance line has somewhat originated from the Jsettes Originality...I personally think Jsettes were better than the GG's...and will always be..

FACT: the J-Settes has done both routines ( even the GG's, with just a few moves changed around) about 10 years ago. I don't believe in given uapb credit for stealing a dance that had already have been mastered over a decade ago by the J-Stettes. as for the uniforms, they still rocked the field show given that their were 2 sets of dancers out there.

The j-sette fan club is huge, so the GG's wont get the recognition they deserve on here.. but if this was a competetion..im positive that the GG's would of won 1st place.

another bit of info for thought, dance is a universal art, what you may THINK THE JSETTES did first was done WAAAY before they thought of it i dont think ive seen the jsettes do anything that was just in the ggs routine.. dont get me wrong the jsettes are great dancers but when props is due otherwise, please BE HONEST!!!!  GET REAL the GG's are the shit!!

This J-Sette Routine was my least favorite...but, it still was better than that country dance uapb girls did. uapb "GG's" has no style. they just looked like a bunch of wild hooligans swinging and kicking all of the field . The J-Settes has a reputation of trend-setting and style. I see uapb tried to steal their style but, yet failed to deliver. Case Closed !!

1st i would like to say the GG's have handed the Jsettes their BUTTS in the past two years that i have been watching them, the fan base that the jsettes have, have been obviously saving them, but it is clear that the Golden Girls did a better job, and for the dummy who stated that the golden girls felt they needed to come hard with a new routine is plain stupid, because that was an old routine the gg's did cause they knew not to even waste their time...

chicagomarchingbands , my comment had nothing to do with an excuse.......and the routine the j-settes did was the same one did at msu and memphis with some alterations. the 10 or 8 has been split every game with crabs. so the other ones were upperclass also. Ms Worthy did not do cuts. cant blame it all on the crabs

i think the jsettes were better plus I liked the music better. this is where, even tho the jsettes have been beasting this year the crabs weak point in the field. I thought it was good that they kept the squad down to 10 girls, they added those extra ones and look what happened. however I'm not in charge and im no choreographer like so many people on utube/bandheads think they are. The jsettes will continue to be the jsettes. they can't wear out every week. routines are better than others

gg's did do a good job on a routine j-settes has did many times before. they are a good copy. all the j-settes did dance. the freshmen and upperclass that has not danced until this game. no cuts this week high school day. j-setts and boom do not consider uapb as a band to put extra work into. as you can see, by the way the boom responed to them doing the game. unlike su or tenn. kind of how they look at gsu.

it was clear UAPB felt the need to pull their best fro JSU when the settes didn't even afford them a new routine. This is the same routine from earlier this season witha few modifications... it looks like they even let all the freshmen dance... The GG's did do well ... but pound for pound, there's no comparison ... everything the GG's did the J-settes been doin for yrs ... only better. One might notice that the J-settes jammed for SU last week ... I wonder why they did an old dance for the GG's

UAPB GG'S WORE THE JSETTES OUT!!!!!!!!!  GIVE CREDIT WHERE IT IS DUE. Jsettes dance fast but with no formation. The jsettes should have used the routine from last week.

UAPB's golden girls were great. Didnt see any mistakes. J-settes were iight.. simple routine though.
