I get amusement when people can't accept others' tastes. I preffer a smooth blues tone--if you think that's smooth I pitty you. FYI: I've yet to hear any metal that I like. This is a very expensive amplifier, but in all honesty I think a foreign manufactured Peavey with an alnico speaker slapped in it sounds much better than this, that's my opinion. If that hurts your feelings I'll mail you a tissue.
@bloozelover Sorry tone was MUDDY---more like distortion than overdrive. Could be the mic on the video camera---listen to any of the Rivera amps--they will blow away this imposter. A true blues tone should "cry"--needs EMOTION.
i have this amp, I've had many tube amps such as Bad Cat, Mesa, Cornford, marshall, fender......... I think this Genz sounds more tuby than any of them. I think this amp is trying to copy a BAD CAT CUB IIR, but offers more and sounds fatter than the bad cat
Well I like it but I cant get that out of my GB 30, at least with my tele set on 30 watts in pentone setting. Absolutely no distortion period.
