  • Oh he looks so sweet and so lucky to have you to guide him back to health. I also watched the vid with him on leash for the first time. So very sweet. Keep us posted.

  • He's very cute!

  • Merlin is such a beautiful cat! I love orange cats! Is he fine now? Hope so! Wish you and your

    animals a merry christmas!

  • I love this vid and I love your style! Very upfront and and very cat friendly!!! you are truly cat!!! Merlin is lucky to have you!

  • @Suzan4B Why Thank YOU. One of the nicest things ever said to me, Truly Cat.

Merlin is a real dear. We've been walking him on a harness outside and he doesn't fall down so much....see the Merlin walks on a Harness/Leash. I have taken video and will edit and post soon. He is a fun cat. I think I'm lucky!

  • @venniey yes you are very lucky and so is Merlin and all other cats that fall under your wing!

  • How kind of you to help him! I can see why you wanted to keep him, I'd never give up that sweetie pie if he appeared in my garage either!

  • @jennifergwaine He followed us into the garage from way up the hill where he had been hanging out. Merlin is a very special boy. I would let him go to another home if I knew 110% he would be cared for in every possible way. Indoors, well loved and with the ability to care for him if he gets sick. We'll see, we are not inclined to enter him into our two cat households, older cats, etc. Don't really want him outside, he might book, vet agrees, says Merlin is headstrong, maybe just a Born Free.

  • @venniey I'm hoping you can find him the home he needs. A great cat like him needs someone to love him!

  • @jennifergwaine Well, he is loved alright yet we are therorically open to him going to another very safe 110% home.

  • I had a friend who had a FIV+ cat who lived to age 18, so some cats can fight it. Let's hope Merlin is one of those!

  • @NonnyMus1 Thanks SO much for your comment! He'll be retested later this month, maybe it will show his first test was a false positive. Fingers crossed! He is very healthy now. SO many muscles!

  • @venniey You're welcome. Remember, even if he tests positive again, he still has a good chance at a good life. Your vet will confirm, I'm sure! Thanks for saving this adorable little guy!

  • @NonnyMus1 He is huge, so many muscles. We are totally smitten with him. I amso glad you see him in the same way, He is very special!. I have cats upstairs, I wouldn't introduce Merlin to them at this time, my Orange Archie Sunshine Toes, is older now and would not appreciate such a young stud running about.

Take a look at my vidoes of my other cats... some are gone now. It Is a nice to have a younger cat...MERLIN!

  • Merlin nudges Not so Invisible Steve to change the channel on the TV cuz he has no thumbs to do it himself .lol......

  • @KIDNAPPEDKITTIES2 Yes, Steve and I are the staff for this cat now too. Hilarious watching us tending to him and our other animals. Staff, ha! Servants is more like it, and glad to do it.

  • Oh no ! FIV ? Poor Merlin,he might have fought with another cat who had it.Reading about a vaccine for FIV.Wonder if it works? That's exactly the reason I would NEVER introduce another cat into my household.I would be devastated to make either of my girls sick.Oh ,i'm so sad for this beautiful boy.But happy you had his "nuggets" snipped. Will he be an indoor kitty?

  • @KIDNAPPEDKITTIES2 Or he was born to a mother who had it, thatis likely too. It might be a false positive, we will retest in 3 months. I would never introduce a cat into my home without testing first. When i was trapping allthe refinery feral, the first thing the vet did after knocking the cat out was to test. I had 4 put down from either FIV and FeLV. FeLV is a far worse disease, the virus can be speread through water and food sharing, unlike the FIV where a bite or inter-uterine is required

  • I am sorry Merlin is ill. Me and my sister will pray for this beautiful cat.

  • @artmarty88 Thank you. He is not ill though and the vet says he is not "shedding" the virus, not contagious. The vet says there are many false positives for FIV and we will retest him in 3 months.

  • @venniey That is good news. I hope Merlin is feeling alright, he seems so loving.

  • Oooops... You changed his name? Sammi was really nice but I think he will love being called Merlin, too.

  • @ankex Sammi was nice. It was a memorial name too. Sam passed in 95, something like that. A good story and cat. But I looked at this one at the vet and suddenly MERLIN, who was magical, you know, popped into my head, Steve said YES... and so it is.

He is a very special cat, very interactive, but no one has cared for him in a long time. More later.

  • Sammi knew very well whose garage he should enter... He`s a nice boy and he seems to be used to humans around him.

And I knew you would keep him - he`s orange...

  • sammi hear you what they say and try to understand it.....lol

  • OMG! did I see invisible Steve?

  • @BengalsOfRidanos LOL!!!

  • Sammi is almost identical to our cat Fernando, if you look at my videos you will see they are similar. He is making that move with his paws that kittens make when they are sucking the milk from their mum, in Italy we call it the "baker". Adults cats still do it when they are either scared or happy, I think Sammi is very happy to be in the home!

  • That is one very lucky kitty to have found you. He looks like he's enjoying every minute of his new luxurious home.

  • Aww Very cute and sweet cat. I am glad you keep him and give him a lovely home. Thanks for sharing this video. Hugs from Mary and Michita the cat
