I have not found any organist yet who includes the theme's mordent when it first enters in the pedal part... why? It seems hard to believe that it would be too difficult if they can play a pedal trill extending over several bars in the "Dorian" Fugue. Stylistic reasons? Anybody who's played this has suggestions?
