  • That is the manliest of manly man wheelies... please dont steal my gf...

  • I'm really not a Harley fan. Sorry to you guys that are, I'm not a "hater" though. And to see such an unlikely bike with the wheel in the air that's pretty cool in my book.

  • I had a harley once, FXB Sturgis it was, looked awsome, heads turned, it was sexy, but it broke. Took it to shop, they fixed it. It broke, I fixed it, it broke again. I noticed a lot of the parts weren't made in US. anyway. I got tired of it, took lots of pictures then sold it, I was so happy that day. Now I don't ride a Harley anymore, still think they look cool, that's where I stop.

  • that's cold as -f-

  • That's actually my dad and he can ride a wheelie on pretty much anything. Since this video he has dropped about 175 pounds, but can still wheelie. This motorcycle is stock.

  • @bikerchick2011 You tell 'em!! Internet Haters always crap on ANY video.

Great seeing that wheel in the air!!!

  • The best bike is the one you have the most fun on. It doesn't matter what you ride...just ride and shut up. And don't even start the Ford vs Chevy stupidity.

  • My dad worked for Honda Motorcycle in Marysville Ohio since 1980 then they went and moved all the bikes back to Japan to be built. Then all the associates were move to the Auto plants and scattered around like crazy. Sucks cause they were all friends and collegues. He pretty much had to start over.

  • @darcor2 I'll bet that Honda wishes they had never moved production back to Japan! Don't be surprised if it announces that it's moving it back to the U.S.!

  • I videoed this in front of my shop in Tennessee. Posted to Valkyrie Owners Club webpage. Bike is stock besides pipes. Rider was 400 lbs. Said finally found one he fit. lol.

  • I ride a Valkyrie Interstate, too. I had my time and trouble with Harley. Besides, my Valkyrie has 6 cylinders to the 2 Harley has.Bought it new in 2000 and can't find a thing I would replace her with.

  • Only rookies ride jap bikes. Amen!

  • i didnt think a valkerie could pull the front up?

    WTF

i wonder if my vtx will do one?

only one way to find out

if i crash i wont be posting any more vids..lol

    peace

  • 60% of a Harley parts are made in china or Korea.. All the electronics, lights cables etc...

  • @gixxersoup, personally, I care more if a company bothers to build a quality product than where it's made or where the parts come from. The best bike HD makes(V-Rod) has a Porsche designed, and if I'm not mistaken, built V-twin. That's all great but it bothers me that a company that has been building V-twins for decades couldn't themselves come up with an engine like Porsche's.

  • @vaxxon1 Well I think HD Just sticks with what whey Know. I am not sure when the v -rod came out But they still have not changed The Design just the color. But all the other HD Bikes are still 1940's Technology.

  • @gixxersoup, agreed but they barely know how to do that right. Clearly they have and continue to rely on whatever mystique the brand has to sell bikes.

  • @gixxersoup They have changed the motor..... Punched it out going from 113cc to 1250cc in 2008. You could get a 1250cc motor before 2008 but it was a Scremin' Egale add-on and I could only imagine pretty pricey!

  • @vaxxon1 Porsche designed, Yamaha tested and tuned and HD assembles it after some other company makes all the parts for it! HD couldnt do it cause they cant get past the idea of it not being the 50's anymore, thats why! They dont understand the concept of an overhead cam motor and you will never be able to build something that fast without overhead cams!

  • @gixxersoup The whole electrical system is actually made in Japan, same with all their carbs! They just dont put the names on there so you have to goto the HD dealership and send $40 on a jet that you can find for $5......

  • Buy a V-max, you'll save 20 grand and go faster and still have a cruiser

  • About all Harleys do for me is piss me off when they fly down the country road I live on at 12:30 in the morning. Freakin loud.

  • Awesome!

  • STREAMLINE

  • Yeah I had a Honda CB900 Custom with the High/Low range transmission...That was a great bike...It had 280,000 miles on it before it had to be rebuilt...Wish I still had that bike...Good times on it...a lot of good times.

  • Honda= bulletproof. As far as a jap bike goes, number one in my book. my cbrf4 stunt bike has been beat like a hooker that didnt pay her pimp, 65k on odo an still running strong as shit., no miss no rebuilds no backfires. love her

  • Oh yeah for sure.. All of my bikes have been Hondas with the exception of a few Yamahas which was a Seca 550 Seca 650 Turbo and a midnight Maxim 750. Those were great bikes too but I never really depended on them for long trips... It was always my CB900 custom that took me across the United States and back a few times. You are absolutely right about Honda being bullet Proof.. Some of the greatest bikes ever made. One of my friends wanted me to trade it for his 93 harley Fatboy. Didnt happen :)

  • Thats awsome, I wounder if I could get my Vulcan 2000 up like that

  • Nice :D

  • that bike had no problem coming up haha love it

  • I have a Valkyrie. This guy is supercharged. For those that don't know the Valkyrie has a drive shaft. I know alot of videos on here show belt driven bikes do wheelies, but they put big sprockets on. You can get it from magnacharger for $4500, and the guy said you should at least get 140 or more horsepower. I don't know if that's true.

  • Mine blown valk with 7 lbs of boost made 145hp 138tq to the ground. With 8 lbs it puts ya up at 150hp. You had better put in forged pistons though. With the stock cast pistons, anything above 4lbs is looking for trouble. Also, you want to double diaphram spring your clutch and perhaps add a car tire if you want to connect that power to the ground effectively.

  • I really liked the Honda Valkyrie, but I gladly admit it ain't no Harley Road King or Fat Boy by any standards. However, I always thought it was smoother than the Goldwing. I still can't believe Honda replaced the Valk with the Rune. It was just starting to catch on when they gave up on it. Biggest downer today for the Valk is they get about 25 miles per gallon - fully loaded on the highway. $4 gallon quickly takes the fun out of the Valk.

  • Actually, they get between 33 - 38mpg when stock. Blown, you get about 28 at the very best and it gets worse from there. 20 - 25 seems average for a supercharged one. So far as comparing it to the wing. I also own a 1800 wing. The 1800 Wing is smoother and handles hard tight twisties better IMHO. Far better long distance bike. However, for local crusing etc, I like the Valk much better. The Road King and Fat Boys are beautiful bikes, but mechanically they dont hold a candle to the Valk IMHO

  • Hey I like the Valks but I know you aren't saying you would take a Valk over a Harley Road King or a Fat Boy. I like my Accord but I'd rather own a Ferarri, but my wallet says no!

  • Actually, I have the coin to have what ever I want and I considered a Road King and a Fat Boy. I think they are "pretty" bikes. Not great performers though IMHO. I got a Valk and a Wing because I wanted them. Not because they were a second choice. I could have what ever I wanted. The wallet wasnt a problem. I wanted performance, and dependability. Both of which the HD brand is lacking in with the exception of the V-Rod. My two cents...

  • Well, hd has a long history of outperforming the jap cruisers but I guess since Honda dumped the Valk because of its poor sales, we will never be able to measure how holds up against a harley or any other bike.

  • Yea the sales were poor. They dropped it after the death of the creator of the Valk. Honda was dedicated to their flag ship cruiser the VTX. However, the comparison can be made. The Valk had/has more power than anything HD puts out minus the V-Rod. Its engine life (stock) without overhaul also approaches 200,000 miles. I know of some with more than that before overhaul. I dont know of a Harley that can get that far without having been cracked open for major surgery.

  • I actually thought the Valk was a pretty good bike along with the rune but like you said Honda concentrated on advertising the VTX 1800 and 1300 to rival the HD Fatboy and Sportsters. The 6 cylinder Valk never got a fair shot against the v-twin world.

  • @SludgeSlinger Be lucky to get to 80,000 on an HD without major surgery! Most of the old school HD guys I know rebuild their motors every year! My buddies dad does it and he doesnt ride all that much anymore! Maybe 30-40k a season between 2 bikes! Hes just a freak about keeping them pristine which is good for re-sale and thats where other bikes cant compare!

  • funny thing is, Honda has more of it made in the USA than the HD's do. Do your homework.

  • what a coincidence, there is actually a honda manufacturing plant here right outside of town.

  • My daughter bought me a pair of HD jeans at the HD dealer. Authentic ones. Inside they say made in china! true story.

  • Harley Davidson sells alot of cheap accessories made in China at their stores. I bought some goggles that kept fogging up everytime I road. Not enought vents. I drilled little holes in it but what pissed me off was that they cost $16 bucks at the HD store and I came across the same goggles at a Kiosk in the mall for $10 bucks.

  • H-D name is BULL SHIT. if it says H-D on it, add 90% markup. What a waste of many, an for the most part is usually shotty craftsmanship.(not referring to the actual bikes just the clothing an accesories crap)

  • @sgtbunny72 HD sub-contracts more than 3/4 of their bikes out! The whole electric system is Japanese. Look at the V-Rod, Designed by Porsche, Tested and tuned by Yamaha, thats the only reason its quick! LOL! And your absolutely right about Honda...... Honda uses more American steel than all the American car manufacturers put together, including Government Motors.........

  • @craigg1981 too bad they moved manufacturing back to japan :( .

  • @runningchance HD's dont out-perform any Jap bike, they are just more popular cruisers in one Country, the USA!

  • Really you would compare a Harley to a Ferarri?

  • Yeah, it aint no Harley......or I wouldn't own one. HD is an image, and nothing more. I own a 99 Valk F6 Cruiser and an 05 Victory Hammer, and they both eat HD's for breakfast. Stock. If you want to sit around in leather chaps and a bandana and talk about how much coin you had to dump into your ride just get a decent amount of performance from your V-twin, then HD is the way to go. If you want a ride that is better engineered and better built, keep looking past any HD out there.

  • Nothing makes me smile more than a Soft-Tail or a V-Rod in my rear view, and I seem to smile every time I ride these days.

  • u are awesome. but how many bikers out there just ride for image? Not passion? confidence sells doesn't it? And thats what harley offers.

its good for those who need it i guess.

  • harley is jus a name i own a yamaha my freinds say im a unamerican but they get pissed when my john wayne tribute 1900 stratoliner gets more complements nt to mention a better ride than there 50 thousand dollar ridgid ruf ass harleys

  • Buy a Harley if you love spending a lot of time and cash repairing your motorcycle.

  • mmmm ur ural if u wanna spen just a lot of time!

  • Harleys do that just type it in and look

  • Yea Harleys will do it. Valks are just a bit harder to get up due to the weight. So, yea, its a good wheelie for a valk.

  • I agree, its still very cool no matter what brand it is. So,yea GOOD WHEELIE, everybody happy now

  • outstanding, what are those pipes? I'm guessing cobra 6 shooters?

  • Most hondas use a driveshaft, so no belt slipping or chain jumping occurs.

Thats what i liked about my dads old goldwing :D

  • @xeronicus I admire your enthusiasm for your old man's machine, but well serviced chains and belts don't slip or jump. And in truth a shaft drive is not as efficient at transferring the power to the rear wheel.

  • @xeronicus Oh, and 'most' Honda's don't use shaft drive. In fact, across the range very FEW use shaft drive.

  • @TheMikenco The only Honda's that use shaft-drive is the Valkyrie and the Goldwings...... Too much power out of a flat 6 to use a chain or belt and thats the only reason why!

  • @craigg1981 not true .. almost all of the honda cruisers use shaft drives.

  • @craigg1981

... my honda VT500 has a shaft the honda NVT has a shaft the honda NVR has a shaft the new VFR 1200 has

a shaft, the concept Crossrunner has a shaft etc.

  • @TheMikenco Doesnt matter how well serviced your chain or belt is, they can slip and jump! The reason they use a shaft is cause of the torque! Its a cruiser, not a 16,000RPM sportbike so it doesnt really matter! Most people riding Valkyrie's arent riding like this..... And you SURE AS SHIT couldnt do that on a 900lbs Goldwing.......

  • @craigg1981 not true...youtube goldwing wheely...also m109 and even seen a honds shadow willy

  • @craigg1981 not true...youtube goldwing wheely...also m109 and even seen a honda shadow willy

  • wOW :)))

  • harleys are belt driven peices of shit no madder how much you modded a harley it would never do that honda is where its at all you harley humpers!!!1

  • Nothing they will do it stock...they aren't sluggo Harleys...they will keep up if not out run alot of sportbikes

  • Holy S**T

And what did you do to the bike to get it to lift up like that ...

    WoW

  • I think that one is supercharged. Mine would lift the front wheel when it was stock, but not like that. Perhaps with a lighter rider it could. However, that guy isnt skinny. Now, after I supercharged mine, it would do it easily even with my fat arse on it.
