However if you only drove it every so often then yes making a smart car would cause more polution. So then you take an average right but then if someone in the city uses it as there every day car in one year they will cause more pollution but if somone in the country side uses as there everyday car then they will cause less. And there hasn't been tons of studies.

There is a slew of cars in the same price range that'll be as fast, but with room, real room. But that's being practical.
