What I don't get is why all the non believers, conspiracy theorists gripe so much. I've seen some good theories that prove volcanic heating may be causing more heat than Co2 & other green house gas emission as well. But scientists are proving something is wrong & does anyone actually believe everything we do is not having any effect? Acid rain anyone? Deforestation & extinct species? Why is everyone so concerned about proving Global Warming advocates is a hoax for money?
@Acharmye What is wrong with attempting to go green, regardless if you believe if not? Changing your habits, clean energy? Replacing oil of greedy companies, timber, plastic with cannibis hemp as fuel for vechiles, paper, plastics, rubber, & more? Greedy oil companies are ripping us off, they're the ones interested in money. Going green will help us in the end because a dirty world will effect our health, especially as we upset the balance of the eco system.
@Acharmye I don't think anyone complains about attempting to go green. What we are concerned about is the efforts of the extremists in your camp that want to push this agenda by force. There are left extremists that want to reduce the human population, handover taxation authority to the UN, punish and cripple the US economy.
the question is authoritative force vs volunteering

@helderas1 why would you pick 2 things that have nothing to do with global warming and cite them as proof that the science is solid?
heat island effect is actually proof that the science behind AGW is flawed - many scientists are now claiming the small amount of warming detected is influenced by the fact that measurements are taken close to cities and are skued by the heat island warming
if you adjust your measurements to account for the heat island effect, there is no warming

The inescapable conclusion is that the human contribution is not significant
Using just the US rural temperature data (not including temperature sensors near urban areas due to the urban heat island affect), today's US rural temperatures are cooler than those of the 1930's.
The warmest year ever recorded in the USA was 1934, link. The coldest, in the mid 1970s, a period when some scientists and most of the press said the earth was heading toward global cooling if not a return of glaciation.
many scientists are now becoming skeptical of the theory of man made global warming (AGW)? link It appears to me that this is looking more and more like the Y2K scare of the late 1990s.
Thanks to Al Gore many hundreds of millions more now understand that humanity faces a dangerous climate crisis. We've go no where else to go. Without a healthy environment cultures fail, people suffer. It's been proven over and over again. So we should all thank Al Gore for giving us a better chance of dealing with the very real crisis. After all, understanding that a problem exists is the first step to solving it.

@Nightverslonn weather is not the same as climate. In 2010, global average temperature was 0.53°C (0.95°F) above the 1961-90 mean. This value is 0.01°C (0.02°F) above the nominal temperature in 2005, and 0.02°C (0.05°F) above 1998. - WMO
Stop pretending to be nightversionn, it's pathetic.
2009 was another year of global cooling, which saw numerous low temperature and high snowfall records smashed. The Dutch canals for the first time in 12 years, record cold came to Al Gore's home town and ironically a blizzard dumped snow on the Copenhagen convention where world leaders met to try and stop global warming. It was so cold that even the BBC was forced to ask, what happened to global warming?

Despite some silly troll posts we are on a warming trend caused by human activity. Read what the experts say. Try NOAA, NASA, NAS, AAAS, SOCC, AGU, NCAR, and others. The science is well established despite vested interest propaganda to the contrary. Contact your federal policy makers and demand they take meaningful steps to curb our emissions.
This Arctic temperature graph says it all, and if this cooling trend continues through the month of August, indeed we may witness a truly exceptional event - the COLDEST EVAAAR! Well....at least since 1958.

@MsSchuk How do you not know bout the emails? I believe in Al, I believe we should tax companies which will force small companies to go out of business, leaves us with all the big ones. The only ones that should exist the big ones. Thank God we Dems have big business and wallstreet on our side.
@Lesrevil08 If we taxed carbon sufficiently, instead of cutting the taxes on it, as is the case now, clean and renewable forms of energy would become more widely available and cheaper.
@Nightversionn what are you talking about? Do you not get the plan? You bring these conservative ideas to the table like an uneducated moron. Big business prevails this is what my 4 fathers wanted.. Raising taxes is a good start but why cant we just let big business lead and monopolize our economy. My view is that we must collapse the economy force the people to be desperate and needy, and lead them into progressive Ideals. We did it before and we need to do it again
@Lesrevil08 Well, that's interesting. I don't think our forefathers wanted us to have the great Industrial Revolution lead to such market failures as corporations greed unchecked (to the death of us all) and runaway ocean acidification and climate change. I don't think we will have to collapse the economy, the oil based economy will come crashing down around us no matter what as we are proving to be stupid beyond all repair. It will happen on it's own
....and after a few million years evolution will lead to perhaps another "intelligent" species hopefully showing to be more enlightening than we have proved to be. Or maybe they will be like us and destroy themselves. Who know? The whole enterprise seems to be ridiculous the more you think about it
@Nightversionn Didnt you know the great depression led to America's greatest changes and reforms led by the progressives. We need turmoil, Obama will save us either way he is our savior. Without his guidance we would be lost and confused. He has it under control he loves our environment and you. We can trust him dont worry lil friend.
IWhen Al Gore dies and they give him an enema they will be able to bury him in a match box. His family will suffer no costs for his final expenses as they can bury him in a mole's hole. The only person who will suffer will be the mole.

Al Gore is full of Shit he corrupted the science of Meteorology and Climaotolgy with his lies humans may have a factor in global warming but we have a small part in global warming the earth does the most work of global warming such as volcanic eruptions emit more greenhouse gases then humans have if the supervolcano in yellowstone park erupts it would cause more greenhouse gasses then we have ever created so dont believe the politicans on global warming turn to the Scientist in these fields
@Shining217 "Al Gore is full of Shit he corrupted the science of Meteorology and Climaotolgy with his lies" -
Science was aware of CO2 as a driver of climate long before Al Gore was even born, and at the time he was a college student, already numerous papers have been published predicting a future CO2- caused global warming.
BTW, all volcanoes together merely emit ~ 1 % of the amount of CO2 which is emitted by the human civilisation.

Please PM me because my minimum wage job blows. You may sell your soul and all, but you sound like your paid well. Please tell me your paid well. I'd like to imagine that I might get a job being paid a living wage.

@Nightversionn 1.) school. The place to go to learn about business. 2.) investments. A business in which to put 'money' to grow it in the model for the economy that has produced global warming.
Your logic is striking. I will now shut up and continue to burn carbon in all the ways that you are doing this very moment.
@bobbygnosis School is a place to seek knowledge for the sake of it, not just to make money! It is about the search for truth, to get good at a trade to you can do a good job. It is about many things.
.
The economy is dysfunctional if it trashes the planet! That's OK, it's the stupid path we're on. We can still strive for energy that is cheap and clean, not dirty and destructive.
.
It appears to me you speak with your own mind and are perhaps not one of the denier sock accounts. If so
apologies and sorry for not reading the comments closely enough. There is so little real conversation on this web site due to the trolls, it's hard to notice when there is legitimate ones
@Nightversionn There's another thing that I think is important: pollution. No matter what anyone says - even a denier will admit this - pollution is freaking important. Our economic model is based on consumption of goods and services. It's like eating; there will always be something discarded. Our model demands that we buy more and more and waste more and more. The only way to solve pollution is to stop being a consumer.
Step one: grow your own food. Cheaper & less pollution.
@bobbygnosis I think technology plays a role. I don't have a lot of time to speak to this but think of Star Trek and the paperless office. Well that's already here and think about the advances we will make in just a few decades will dwarf those ideas.
.
That is of course if we don't destroy ourselves first.
@Nightversionn Humanity will likely not destroy humanity. But we will likely destroy Western civilization. Which I don't think is a bad thing. I'll be on my lawnchair with a bottle of wine watching the fireworks.
That said, grow your own food. Oil will be going away shortly and the overwhelming majority of the food you consume is produced through petroleum based agriculture. When oil goes food goes. Food riots. Grow your own food. This time I'm not joking.
@Nightversionn There are far more ways for us to be vanquished. You're not using your imagination. Global Warming is predicated on carbon burning. Look up Peak Oil to see why carbon burning will drop off sharply within the next few decades.
Even still; if you wish to cease consumption of carbon grow your own food. All those trucks carrying plastic wrapped food are supporting your life. So make them superfluous by not using them.
@bobbygnosis Not according to the scientific community. I see you're a troll posting lies non stop, oil industry propaganda purveyor. "Things are looking up"
.
OK, so let's just comfortably burn fossil fuels until we're all dead? I don't share your oil industry vision
@Nightversionn I work for minimum wage at a coffee shop. I don't really like our petroleum culture and think we're going down a dangerous path. You and I are quite similar. The only difference between us is that you think Global Warming is real and I don't. However, we are both still concerned for the well-being of our fellow humans.
Here's a guy who does believe in Global Warming who has solution that you might find interesting (I surely do): Mike Ruppert.
@Nightversionn Now this is a tricky thing: you pay for school with money and the net result is that you have a better chance of getting a job. So, for all appearances, it's an economically driven decision. If you can get the same knowledge for free at any library why go to school? Answer: diplomas are only half of it. The other half is that your classmates will be your future business partners.
The economy is dysfunctional. Infinit growth in a finite environment. This is paradigm shift time.
Are you kidding me? You've posted a 1000 comments on these videos, I have around 8 comments, if I'm being paid then I'm not making a hell of a lot of money out of it am I? We all know who the troll is, your cover is blown. Btw it's probably not a good idea to state your sources, considering where they are derived from. You should be ashamed.
Coastal wetlands around the world, including many on the U.S. Atlantic coast, could be more endangered by climate change and sea-level rise than previously thought, a new study suggests.
@Nightversionn I'm not the one with a dozen comments on every global warming video am I? As for working for oil companies, I'm an out of work electrician as a result of the recession brought on by the banking elites who's very agenda you yourself are promoting. Good luck with that. Btw I recycle and I don't own a car, do you? I care for the environment but I haven't fallen for this scam, and I don't intend to hand over any more money to this fascist oligarchy, you yourself are welcome.
@Nightversionn .....you are either on the payroll or your ignorant of the real agenda, I hope it's the latter and that in time you will WAKE UP. Do you seriously believe Gore cares about global warming, he's a walking carbon extractor for Christs sake, thats because he doesn't believe his own b.s. Have a nice day.

• "A peer-reviewed paper published in the Canadian Journal of Earth Sciences finds that Arctic sea ice extent at the end of the 20th century was more extensive than most of the past 9000 years. The paper also finds that Arctic sea ice extent was on a declining trend over the past 9000 years, but recovered beginning sometime over the past 1000 years and has been relatively stable and extensive since."

This was supposed to be the year the U.S. government redesigned the energy economy to take a bite out of global warming. But Democrats are afraid to lose their power, so at the drop of a hat, they betray their base and decide not to increase the debt to give out grants for people to caulk their homes. After all, they are incapable of buying a $5 caulk tube on their own.

Climate change news…re-election news (or, the desire to be re-elected news)!

One Republican, unhappy with his party's position on carbon, prepares a new agenda
.
Sen. Lindsey Graham is concerned that the Republican Party faces political dangers by resisting efforts to reduce carbon dioxide and other air pollution. That assertion seems to challenge GOP campaigns this year, in which candidates often rejected the science behind climate change.

@Nightversionn You are the best shill I've ever seen. I salute you and ask: how can I get a job promoting bullshit scams? Are you paid well? Do you get benefits? Holy shit, I need some dental work. What's your dental plan like?
Please PM me because my minimum wage job blows. You may sell your soul and all, but you sound like your paid well. Please tell me your paid well. I'd like to imagine that I might get a job being paid a living wage.
Peace, love and manbearpig.

@bobbygnosis I told you, I donate my time here because I'm disgusted by the oil trolls lying all over youtube. Absolutely disgusted No one needs to pay me to post the truth here
Nightversionn 1 year ago
@Nightversionn To be perfectly technical you didn't tell me. But good on you for speaking your mind. Someone has to do it, right?
bobbygnosis 1 year ago
@bobbygnosis If you don't make enough to live on I suggest you go to school or invest your money wisely. Other than that, shut up
Nightversionn 1 year ago
@Nightversionn 1.) school. The place to go to learn about business. 2.) investments. A business in which to put 'money' to grow it in the model for the economy that has produced global warming.
Your logic is striking. I will now shut up and continue to burn carbon in all the ways that you are doing this very moment.
Cheers.
bobbygnosis 1 year ago
@bobbygnosis School is a place to seek knowledge for the sake of it, not just to make money! It is about the search for truth, to get good at a trade to you can do a good job. It is about many things.
.
The economy is dysfunctional if it trashes the planet! That's OK, it's the stupid path we're on. We can still strive for energy that is cheap and clean, not dirty and destructive.
.
It appears to me you speak with your own mind and are perhaps not one of the denier sock accounts. If so
Nightversionn 1 year ago
apologies and sorry for not reading the comments closely enough. There is so little real conversation on this web site due to the trolls, it's hard to notice when there is legitimate ones
Nightversionn 1 year ago
@Nightversionn There's another thing that I think is important: pollution. No matter what anyone says - even a denier will admit this - pollution is freaking important. Our economic model is based on consumption of goods and services. It's like eating; there will always be something discarded. Our model demands that we buy more and more and waste more and more. The only way to solve pollution is to stop being a consumer.
Step one: grow your own food. Cheaper & less pollution.
bobbygnosis 1 year ago
@bobbygnosis I think technology plays a role. I don't have a lot of time to speak to this but think of Star Trek and the paperless office. Well that's already here and think about the advances we will make in just a few decades will dwarf those ideas.
.
That is of course if we don't destroy ourselves first.
Nightversionn 1 year ago
@Nightversionn Humanity will likely not destroy humanity. But we will likely destroy Western civilization. Which I don't think is a bad thing. I'll be on my lawnchair with a bottle of wine watching the fireworks.
That said, grow your own food. Oil will be going away shortly and the overwhelming majority of the food you consume is produced through petroleum based agriculture. When oil goes food goes. Food riots. Grow your own food. This time I'm not joking.
Peace, love and understanding.
bobbygnosis 1 year ago
@bobbygnosis Yes we can destroy ourselves two ways:
.
1. nuclear annihilation (possible)
2. unchecked global warming (probable at this point)
3. other (possible)
Nightversionn 1 year ago
@Nightversionn There are far more ways for us to be vanquished. You're not using your imagination. Global Warming is predicated on carbon burning. Look up Peak Oil to see why carbon burning will drop off sharply within the next few decades.
Even still; if you wish to cease consumption of carbon grow your own food. All those trucks carrying plastic wrapped food are supporting your life. So make them superfluous by not using them.
Things are looking up. Seriously.
bobbygnosis 1 year ago
@bobbygnosis Not according to the scientific community. I see you're a troll posting lies non stop, oil industry propaganda purveyor. "Things are looking up"
.
OK, so let's just comfortably burn fossil fuels until we're all dead? I don't share your oil industry vision
Nightversionn 1 year ago
@Nightversionn I work for minimum wage at a coffee shop. I don't really like our petroleum culture and think we're going down a dangerous path. You and I are quite similar. The only difference between us is that you think Global Warming is real and I don't. However, we are both still concerned for the well-being of our fellow humans.
Here's a guy who does believe in Global Warming who has solution that you might find interesting (I surely do): Mike Ruppert.
And yes. I think we'll be fine.
bobbygnosis 1 year ago
@bobbygnosis Well, you just want to keep arguing in circles to do nothing, which is what all the oil trolls (denier sock puppet accounts) do.

This is paradigm shift time.
bobbygnosis 1 year ago
Are you kidding me? You've posted a 1000 comments on these videos, I have around 8 comments, if I'm being paid then I'm not making a hell of a lot of money out of it am I? We all know who the troll is, your cover is blown. Btw it's probably not a good idea to state your sources, considering where they are derived from. You should be ashamed.
