  • That rock was stubborn. You know which one I mean.

  • Trabajo duro. Bien echo hombres

  • nicely done

  • Incredible well. Beautiful land. Much respect!

  • I came here because some one had labeled their video digging a well by hand and clearly they were not digging by hand but using an excavator. I wanted to find the real deal. Thanks for being honest.

  • i find this very interesting, hard work!

  • chque bn trabajo hicieron.....

  • Fantastic job! Thanks for sharing.

  • I always wondered how people dug wells. My grandfather had one that he dug in Pioneer, Texas back in the 1920's. I always wondered how he did that. Now, I know. Thanks for posting.

  • brotip: to smash big rocks (at least ones that are sticking out) drop large pieces of tree stumps on them

  • @a10fjet

where would you get the large pieces of tree stumps

  • @a10fjet idk, if theres big trees around you can cut them down. but i guess in mexico there probly isnt... but the point is that wood wont crack and the rock takes all the energy. thats the technique i used to get through rocks. but make sure to tie a rope to it so you can pull it up. like a battering ram.

  • Their knowledge and skill has been crucial for centuries. We may need it again on a wider scale soon enough.

  • Nice work

  • varry good video, gracias

  • that was awesome ! Good job guys

  • The dirt is gray, because you're using cement?

  • when you started to get water was that gradually filling up or just stayed there?

  • @w1ldyovvnz

it trickled in, we kept digging. found a few more placec where water came in not with force took a few hours to fill

  • @paradox398 ok thanks:)

  • Outstanding!!! Beautiful Work!

  • shaqo fiican ayaad qabateen waana wax aad u fiican waana ku farxay barnaamijkan aad qabateen

  • Aunque se ve sencillo y bonito hacer un pozo...Me imagino que ha de ser un trabajo muy duro, bien por los trabajadores...Gracias por este video,Se disfruto mucho del trabajo de estos chavos que lo hacen ver facil y divertido.

  • Where are you located?

    good luck

  • amazing! very wide. I am digging my well and I am at 15' and no water...

  • echenl aceite a esa carretillaaa jajajaja.

    Saludoos

  • Great video. I always wondered how wells were built. How long did it take to build it? Siempre me he preguntado cómo se construyeron los pozos. ¿Cuánto tiempo se necesita para construirla?

  • Thanks.

The well took 19 days, three men working very hard from 8am to 2pm

  • 6 hours it is a little time for my, I know really strong workers who work 12 hours a day and in deep wells of 12 meters up to 40 meters digging to hand in hard land, using wedge and dodgings of 12 pounds.

    Regards

  • This is their third job and the time worked was always Saturday.

They traveled one hour to and from the well.

  • Nice, can you tell me if you, paradox, were one who build well, at the bottom of weel, when you start to making walls, did you left some holes so water can get in from side walls or it just comes from the botom, from the ground??

    thanks!

  • Bottom ground is a source of water. also, water seeps in through the brick. the brick is a good filter

  • I am digginf well, but its small weel, probably there is watter on 3-4meters, so i shoud do the wals with brick??

did you put the bric on the bottom??

so brick can pass in water, and also filter it???

  • I am pleased with the brick walls, water does filter, bottom is just natural.

    no brick on bottom

be very careful about sides caving in.

there is some danger in well digging

  • how do you mean that i should be carefull about sides caving in??

im not very good in english

  • ???????

  • Excelent video.

    5* and to my favorites.

    Greetings from Poland

  • They found ruins but don't know it.

  • They know it

  • Outstanding! Having dug wells by hand myself, I can truly apreciate the combination of pure hard (and hot) work plus the extraordinary masonry skills involved in this project. In fact, I'm going to promptly embed this video on my Hub page covering the same topic--though mine were in Montana, not Mexico.

  • It's a no pos!
