I remember right at the end of the world cup and this song came on. It was a really uplifting piece with the commentary of all the goals and drama on top of the music.

I always like listening to the end music of the world cups on both channels but they often overlap each other and you miss part of one.

This tune takes me back. I first heard it on saint and greavsie when it was backing fo 1986 world cup highlight montage....legendary stuff. I 've still got the vid on VHS. I may upload it sometime.

It wasn't a good world cup. Lots of cheating and time-wasting, in the bad old days before the rule outlawing a keeper from picking up the ball from a pass-back by a teammate.

Hi mate yes i got all the matches & all the music from the world cup 1990 an when the matches clashed on itv & bbc i got my mate to tape the other 1 for me i bought aload of video tapes an taped every match & i still got them all + the openin cermoney aswell :-D im gona keep them too they gr8  to look bk on!!! :-)))

Gotta love the "Weekend" record company! The B side was the awesome athletics theme "Hot Foot". they don't make them like that any more! Actually, when was the last time athletics was on ITV?
