@dannyboy11122 no, the connector is keyed in the way to where that would not be a issue (it would not fit). you can use older bricks with a newer system, but not newer bricks on a older system. this is easily done with by not having the power brick not plugged in all the way into the system.

I never got the red ring since I bought mine 5 yrs ago, however like all things its getting old and sometimes wont play a game unless I turn it off and on repeatedly, is the arcade version the same as the pro? I already have Two HDD's (a 20 and a 120 gb) and really dont want to spend a lot more on something I dont need, can anyone answer me please? you know half of the problems with 360s getting the rrod are due to people not taking care of their system, first make sure you lay the 360 fiat not like a tower cpu, also make sure you have plenty of space for airflow, and clean your freekin system once in a while, when dust starts building up it can cause problems, also load your games into the hard drive, and play your games through that, this will create less heat because the dvd drive wont be spinning all the time and heating up

Yeah but its around maybe 3-5% RRoD and 4-7% for other issues and like 3% of them are from idiots not having the damn cable plugged in for a total 7-15% (including the E74 issue) for the jasper vs the older models 30-50% RRoD and other issues.

The arcade Jasper came out in late 2008, the Elite jasper came out in mid 2009.

There is a few jasper designs as well. the first model of jasper had a 3 piece heatsync design and the later model has a 2 piece design much like the older models, but both designs have the 65nm CPU and GPU.

@yodady39 if you knew really anything of how 360s fail and what o do hen it happens, it doesnt matter what chip it had, the 360s cooling and its design is pure garbage, the standoffs inside the motherboard cage cause flexing, they use shitty ass thermal paste while its pretty much a passive cooled system, fuck 360s

So thats why the jasper 360 has a failure rate of 5% (around the same as a PS3) vs the old versions 30% - 40%. And it does matter with the chips used, The TDP (Thermal design power for the n00bs) was allot higher with the 95nm die Which did have inadequate passive cooling. with the jaspers 65nm die for both the CPU & GPU it runs allot cooler plus its cooling system was redefined into a much better cooling system. and i have yet to see a jasper die from RRoD.

you are correct, yet, they have no been around long enough, they still have XCLAMPs, also, the standoffs are ~1mm higher in the center of the mobo causing flexing, the cooling is not that great but jaspers produce less heat, thanks for replying to my comment, nice to see someone who's smart :)

i think the inital launch of the jasper was in the late 2008 and was only available for the arcade models at first, leaving the elite model a falcon revision untill early to mid 2009. even though it was released the market was still flooded with falcon versions of the arcade model (The same with the elite) , which made it hard to get a jasper model because they was trying to get rid of the falcon versions before they really replaced the falcon version.

yep, around a year, jaspers dont usally rrod, but they can E74 since e74 hana instead of the GPU. The falcons would have been a bit more reliable if they had waited and did like a 75mm GPU since the cpu was already 65 imo i cant wait to see the new chips, it will be interesting, and lol at your other comment, remember, the entire internet isn't full of retards

And yes I will admit Jasper xbox's overheat less than the falcon and xenon chipsets though I'v already had a few customers come in claiming their JASPER xbox's overheated.
