  • 1:56 ITS FRED, AAAAAAAH!

  • 2:44 way to go Mister I!

  • Haha. Thank you for posting my photo!

  • I have the same mat at 2:55 but I hanged it on the wall of my room instead of eating with it.

  • Are you guy's gonna make more videos like this?

    Please replay!

    Thanks!

  • Im from Serbia but i live near by Novi Sad.

    A big Hello from Serbia!!!

  • so caffeine is 4 parts Nitrogen, 2 parts Oxygen, 3 parts Carbon, and 9 parts Hydrogen?...Holy Cow!!! no wonder it gives you energy...your basically drinking the freakin sun :|

  • there's "Male Herpes Pictures" video on the left, seriously.

  • Might as well own up. I'm at 1:55 in the video. The guy with the scruffy beard.

    John.

  • Whats really ineresting is that I have never had any intrest in chemistry but I wanted to learn more about the material used in our nuclear generating plants and now I am literally hooked on these videos.I bet I have watched the christmas video with the tree their no telling how many times.I am pretty certain its not the hair but its pretty cool after you see it a few times and realize that Martin is really brilliant and not nuts lol.It was the mad professor thing at first but it fits perfectly.

  • Nerds are ruling the world. Definitely.

  • if you're gonna talk about caffeine, then maybe you could make some videos about the nitrogen bases in nucleic acids :D... you know, add some bio to the chemistry

  • 00:27 Quite possibly the prettiest chemist ever.

  • Love it! PTV is a true community - of lovers of science. A big shout out to all you fellow viewers and to all at PTV. Well done!

  • 1:02 it's not a chemical shirt it's an atom :P......HUH!? did i just correct the proffessor :O

  • @1KevinsFamousChili1

    Rules:

    1.-The Professor is always right.

2.-In case the Professor isn't right, apply rule #1

  • @TRIV3T HAHA Those are probably the easiest rules to follow, ever! :P

  • Thumbs up if you're in the video! :)

  • haha YES! i made it on :D I'm the one with the caffeine molecule tattooed on my (left calf) :D

  • @FaithBane congrats :)

  • 1:53 is me c:

  • 0:26 =)

  • The molecule tattooed is the caffeine.

  • All these videos are awesome, too bad I stayed clear off chemistry after high school xD

  • I have had a question for a long time, but it's not a chemistry question. What is the book with the 1960s-style cover, the one with the picture of a man with enormous hair? It's next to the Basher book, Elements with Style, on the shelf behind the Professor.

  • Hey Brady, met a guy with the molecule of THC tattooed on his chest, took a picture of it... =)

  • It intrigues him because it's the same hair as the professor!

  • Hello from Novi Sad, Serbia

  • this was a nice social video. Keep it up professor! You are changing molecules every day!

  • Is that a can of Campbells soup on the shelf?

  • im from serbia im from town vladicin han

  • Greetings from polish geology students ! ;]

  • Love your 'mad professor' hair. I guess this is why you find the pic at 3.30 intriguing. ;O)

  • Just saw my puppet @ 3:20..thanks for including it!

  • Would you do a video about positronium?... if you did it, would it be for PV or for SS? :P

  • @troglodyte3344 Hahaha! Well played, troll. :)

  • 3:17 Chick on the right is cute!

  • Just saw the periodic table book in the background. I feel proud that I own something that the professor has too

  • Another brilliant viewer video! Was that Schrodinger's cat watching so intently?

  • When are we gonna see an element named Poliakoffnium?

  • Greetings from Serbia!! :)) I svima vama u Novom Sadu pozdrav iz Beograda!! :)))))

  • The tatooed molecule at 3:14 (Pi!) is caffeine <3

  • @gulllars Wow - pie and coffee - the universe moves! (And now, of course, I want some).

  • @gulllars LOL 3.1415...

  • 3:32 Your grandson?

  • i love chemistry!!

  • I got to be the first picture!

Made my day err night. :)

    Happy 4th of July!

  • where do you get the periodic table mug?

  • @ms3bani ThinkGeek carry them, as well as other periodic table articles, and also caffeine molecule articles.

  • @gulllars just checked thinkgeek, no periodic mug. bummer. :(

  • The man! 1:14!! :D

  • sto ne kazete da ovde ima jos Srba :D

  • Bringing the sexy back to Chemistry.

  • Does the tattooed caffeine does its job?

  • I knew it !! I'm the only "not nerd" who watches this channel but I like it

  • @1:00 It's actually pretty simple to understand: protons have smiley faces because they're 'positive'; neutrons have indifferent faces because they're 'neutral'; and electrons have frowns because they're 'negative'.

  • @MrRobotoToo and now i want that shirt!

  • I <3 THIS SHOW!

  • @Xerotaerg @HeyitsJohnNerdBlog it is caffeine

  • "The strange story of false hair" ?

  • Anyone knows any websites that will help improve my chemistry? I am looking for support forums where I can communicate back and forth with.

  • Ahhh! I love you, Man!

  • good, but the music from portal 2 would have been better :P

  • @Xerotaerg

I thought that it was a caffeine molecule, if you look at it the CH3 groups are in the proper spots.

  • 1.55

    Dimitri Mendeleev spotted!

  • @DeoMachina Or possibly Rasputin.

  • @DeoMachina That me!! :) Mad scientist!

    John.

  • I was super shocked when I found out who your brother is, because I'm a big fan of his as well.

  • Nice to see other Serbians watch these videos, too :)

  • @GromTastic That's because you are a Copper + Nitrogen + Thulium + Arsenic + Tellurium + Rubidium + Oxygen + Yddrium. WORK THAT ONE OUT AND GET BACK TO ME!

  • @rackslap >_>

  • HAHAAH the guy at 1:08 in the hat, what a joke(r)!

  • Why It showed as "watched" in my youtube page? Now I have to keep looking through all my subs to see if yt didn't make me miss any |:/

  • I'm at 3:22.....awesome :)

  • 3:13

    what molecule?

  • @volound Caffeine

  • @ThatKidKnows :) thanks.

  • i love nerds

  • @Eulich Awesome reference!

  • This is great.

  • I'm the one with the periodic table papered on his wall!

  • @werothegreat LIKE A BOSS!!

  • i wonder if i should send a second picture ?

  • When are you going to start building robots again to get back at that smug bastard Dr. Light?

  • My face is secret.

  • Mr. Phelps.... Here's a physical problem if you chose to accept it. It's a 3D symmetry kind of thing. In the choice between hollow sphere and solid sphere; which is the most likely for space spheres? For example earth, moon, mars? I say you have to believe one configuration and you can puzzle the other. You have to kind of "proclaim" the solid configuration, but you can "puzzle" the hollow configuration. It's a pretty old problem, about as old as gravity and mass.

  • what a bunch of great looking fans :)

  • The Ginger, I'm guessing, is the one that intrigues you. Not for the attempted ginger afro but because he has attempted to copy your hairstyle

  • @monkeytail2002 Looks like him a bit, too, not counting the hairstyle.

  • Alan @ 3:22 "sent me" ^_^

Eww, some disturbing vid's among the suggestions

    Anyhow

This is dedication [≈ That tattoo made me think of MUSE's Resistance album

  • The photo that intrigues you would really get my attention too. Long lost son, clone, enthusiastic fan, stalker, coincidence?

  • CHARILE?!!

  • Hell yeah I'm in!! Prof Poliakoff truly is a rock-* haha!

  • @jacoman1234567

    Tall lad :D

  • I'm watching your videos because I'm interested in chemistry. Specifically pyrotechnics. :)

  • Ill be attending College this fall with a chemistry major!

  • @periodicvideos why is there a "Male Herpes Pictures" video suggestions?

  • Brayan alfaro is drinking millions of Dihydrogen Monoxide molecules :D

  • could have done without the porno music

  • Have you ever considered releasing your videos in 3D? There's a 2 x 3.5 metre 3D screen in my school and I think the science department would appreciate some more educational videos to their collection... ;D

  • that molecule tattooed on his arm is caffeine remember it cause i had to learn it for my exam :)

I'm, i guess the biggest stereotype to watch these video's

    ==> chem major

  • I didnt learn anything about chemistry in this video...

  • Caffeine!

  • @Rib640

Yep. Also known as trimethylxanthine, from the three methyl groups attached to it.

  • I would have got a photo of the other day in Sixth Form when testing for ketones and aldehydes with the 2,4-DNPH test, but ho-ha, the school forgot it was 2 years out of date.... so it didn't work...

Did you just understand the cryptic irony of 2,4-DNPH for a photo to send you? ;-)

  • @thatkidknows, and i don't mean Brady's two years out of date lol :P

  • @ThatKidKnows

Brady's reagent...funny that you would mention that.

  • @douro20 yus indeed ahahah

  • yay! I'm in this one!

  • Co za asy...

  • @GromTastic very fluorine uranium N2 yttrium

  • @periodicvideos Ha! I see what you did there. (:))

  • I'm a 23 year old business major but that won't stop me from learning about science! =)

  • on her shirt the electrons are in a bad mood because they are negative the protons are happy and the neutrons are meh... lol

  • @phayz9 aha

  • woot

  • :)
