  • Yeah! Cheap and efficient - Allow's for home use as well. It's getting too cold to be out in the River all day.!

    It's an 800 GPH from Canadian Tire. I would say though that a 1000 GPH would be most ideal. Can always add a flow valve. I am running the 800 straight through. I know Princess Auto has a 1000 GPH for $40.00. Current draw is still fairly low - so a good compromise!

  • Nice job Elk! Putting your au trap to good use! You have me thinking that maybe I should do something similar with mine, rather than building a separate clean-up sluice. hmm...

    BTW is that 300gph pump on full blast, or are you restricting it with a valve? Is it enough water, or would you prefer more? Which pump is it if I can ask?
