I'm sorry I don't remember AAG, but I do remember the Triforce Zone. HELP ME OUT WITH THIS, but I believe that was a show hosted by a single black guy named Kaz and he always wore a Yankees Baseball cap. I remember there was a show that came on after his with like 4 guys always near some bunkbeds. Anyway if anyone can help me out on any information on Triforce Zone I'd appreciate it because I GREW UP ON THAT SHOW.
Wow the nostalga is just killin me here.. Im a college grad now and I use watch all these shows.. i use to wait up to watch this and see all the new (to me) anime. god i wish stuff like this was still on tv. good independent stuff
HOLY SHIT I USED TO WATCH THIS SHOW!! Thank you SO much for posting this, I used to tape this show too (I only have one episode now though) but I've lost the tapes since then. :/
@ziggygirl I used to tape all these shows every week too....Sadly my sister found some hentai on one of the tapes and she threw away like 20 tapes(facepalm).I don't know if you checked my channel yet, but I have a playlist of all these public access shows.
@Fakieflps Awww man! I'm sorry to hear that, that's horrible. :{ 20 tapes... I only had a few tapes with this show on it, then a few from when the new host came along. I remember my dad took home this old as Hell VCR from work & put it in my room (he knew I wanted one). I was always taping stuff off of the TV. Did you ever tape Toonami? I used to tape DBZ, Gundam Wing & Tenchi Muyo. xD Damn those were the days. Thanks for letting me know about your playlist, I'm going to check it out now. :)
Hey whats up, its great seeing that 10years later my show was still remembered. I never thought about us being the youtube of that era. But i think thats the highest complement anyone can pay us. Let me set the record straight
"Anime = N = Games" The host was Justin, I was the co-host. (I was 14-15years old during that time) when Justin went to college i took over the show named it "Animation & Games" i decide i needed help running the show and requested a co-host. I got an email from several dozen people.
@TheEnigmaX It turns out one of the fans i rejected took it personal. and he decided to try and take me off the air, by applying at the same time-slot "Fridays at 10:30pm channel 57" it didn't work...instead they gave him "Fridays at 10:30pm channel 56" and the genius that he was he decided to bring back the original name of the show again to "Anime =N= Games" thats why there were two anime/game shows at the same time, same day, but different channel.
I never saw World of video games, but I do remember a comic book show that had a live number and ppl would call and berate the hosts.I think the rival show was called Animation and games.
agree these guys were like our youtube for anime and games and boy i never missed one show(i hope) but thanks for these vids man you the only one putting up these good times vids . I sure do miss the 90's :(
The main dude from this show has youtube account but im not sure he post videos. The guys from kamazee fly have emailed me about me posting mor of their videos,so u might see more from them.
Yeah Brianbillz is that funny dude on kamakazee fly. He's been in contact with me and they(kamazee fly) want to post more clips for their fans to enjoy.
I think the show went by one more name after "Tri Force Zone" before leaving the air. The last I remember seeing this show, and the other show which used to run head-to-head with it ("Anime & Games", this show is "Animation & Games) was around 2002, and then they were all gone.
There used to be another show, called "Game World" which aired on Wednesdays. I remember it cuz the host always called himself "JVC Gex 3:16" or something like that, EVERY episode, lol. That show was gone by 2001ish.
Yeah I remember Game World aswell. It was three dudes(JVC,Liquid metal, and some other dude) and what I recall is they beefed with a show called rap and video games that had a show on saturday.
I also remember a show called "Anime TV" on Saturday nights around that time period (1999-2000), might've been that show.
Looking back, those "show beefs" may have seemed silly, but I can see why dudes would take it seriously back then. That may have been another reason why all of those shows disappeared .
Do you also remember the other show that used to run head-to-head with this one AAG ("Anime & Games"). Similar titles, different shows. How about "The World of Video Games" waaay back?

Watching these shows in the 90's was the only way I could see imported anime/games, months and even years before they came to the US.
Tri force zone was the last of these kinda shows on MNN.

Internet killed these shows off.I think MNN also forced shows to stop using copyrighted material n that smelled the end for this amazing era.
Fakieflps 2 years ago
