I always loved this game, despite never having completed over a third of it due to the disk breaking. Regardless the music remained well deep in my memory.
I'm pretty sure the games we all really remember are the ones with good music. Chrono trigger, Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy, etc, they all had great music.
@Sinclairelim Yeah! this is my fave ps1 game and my mom got it for me on my 14th Bday i think.. I turn 25 today ^^ might buy it from PSN but I can always use a rom.. ugh might do it anyway ha.
I foung out about this game when I was 16 and it was already out.... I loved every thing about it it take u to a whole new world. When need games like this... they dont make them any more and its sad cuz it felt like u were in the game. u felt like u were a part of it if olny for a sec. none of the game that r out now dont make u feel that same way. and if they do then just name one.
@Hydralith21 Yes, back then, players could easily feel like they were in the game, even with 8-bit graphics. It was the art of crafting a great game, not gimmicks like motion sensoring.
The first time I played this game was five and now i'm sixteen. Man this brings back memories. These days i'm into games like L4D and Borderlands but I still get a kick out of playing the older playstations games. This song specifically induced Nostalgia. <3 Thank you for putting this up
i never finished mints story. fuckin pumpkin hater lol. my favorite stage was that weird pink place with the birds and chubby kids rolling on the ball
i remember playing the demo for this from the playstation magazine demo discs. The good days when you didn't have internet and looked forward to those demo discs to test out games yourself.
I remember playing this game as a little girl having rented it from a video game store. It was only a week but I had such a blast with it, :( The part I remember best was Mint having a temper tantrum in the beginning about pumpkins or something, xDI still haven't played it since then and I can't find a working PsX copy of it anywhere. Anyone know where I can find a working copy?
I LOVE THIS GAME TO TEARS ! RUE WAS SO AWESOME ! I had all the memorable games when I was little , but I DIDN'T see this game's awesomeness until I was 11 ! LOVEEEE THIS GAME ! I'm not usually A fanboy , but I'll put this anyway .
I forgot about this game until I heard Square Enix is bringing it to PSN. The song surely reminds me why I loved at a child. Day one purchase! I remember one called Brave Fencer Musashi, Rival Schools, and many others that' i haven't seen or played in a while!
This is great news to hear. Now the current gen of RPG players are able to play one of the great classics of yesteryear. Like FFVII-IX,Xenogears,and now ToF. Ah the classics never die easily.
good lord, it has been YEARS since i played this game! i remember i rented it way back when it came out, years later I could not remember the name of the game. now i remember, thank you internet!
I played this all the time whenever I visited my grandma, since she had this game for my cousins who lived by her. I always wanted to secretly steal it and bring it back. I miss it so much!! :P
I could never beat this one dragon thing up in the sky or something though, I remember.
I has actually replayed this game a few days ago and soon as I was able to get to the forest I had to put the controller down and listen to this song. It was such a moment that I shed a tear from this missing this song in the actually game. It's very endearing.
We need to find whoever rated this down and through them into the green crap the the pollywogs spawn out of in this games forest. HOW CAN YOU NOT LIKE THIS SONG?!
crazy, i remember playing a demo of this as a 6 year old at target. i always went there and got up to where those 2 guys looked like they were gonna molest the girl, then it ended.
yeeears later i saw the cover for this game at a rental store and that game somehow poppped into my head and i was like "is.. is this that game?" low and behold IT WAS!!
I LOVE THIS GAME IT'S GREAT. An underrated peice of art : )
Oh man, I remember this track from the demo version! I would just stand in the forest and listen to the music. So nostalgic this... I played the demo so damn much! I regret not buying this game. :(
Man...I remember I was like..7-8 years old play this game...that was the Era where I first startd and discovered gaming, I only got to play the demo, but I played it over and over. This game is classic! The game itself during the time was one of the best imo and still is, randomly saw this game on amazon and was like huh...whats this, I watched the video on youtube about it and was like, "OMG! ITS THAT GAME!!" O-O I never knew the name of it till now. Wishing for a remake on PSP or so (T-T)
@pruanelover4ever I don't have a ps2 though :X aha really? I think they should remake the stories of some of their old sqaure enix games like Parasite Eve, & this with sequels on a ps3, have a feeling if they do it right it'll become pretty good xD
@kaseysaechao A bunch of people would love that, however...theres 3 things to consider. Time, resources, and how much it will make them. I'd honestly love to see a "Square Enix collection" of some sort released, so I hear you on that x.x
thank god they left BOF4 alone...and the other 30-odd RPGs I had for PS1 in the same general area. At least I take pleasure in knowing the thief had good taste in RPGs, as these are three I've had a hard time economically replacing.
a perfect example of ps1 music production at it's best...goddamn it i'ma play this again and make a walkthrough to show all these new gen spammers what old school is like
Now this is a song that I remember when I started to gain my sense about rating games. I,like many of the other comments, like this piece because it brings back lots of memories. This was the song that kept me playing the demo and when I got the game I just gone to the forest and just stayed there just to listen to this song.
I know. The true ending made me believe that there would be a Threads of Fate 2 so I waited, but it never came. I just hope that Square Enix will stumble onto this game again and decide to remake it or something. Just wishful thinking.

But is it really in ISO format ?
Still, I guess Mel's mini games are gonna be a pain in the ass to get over with ._.
I still have my PSX machine and the disc itself with me :x.
I even have classics like Evil Zone, my brother keeps wanting to give them away.
