The hood assembly operation you've archived here is near & 'dear' to me as I was associated with the hood, door build(s) for the recently terminated Pontiac Solstice & Saturn Sky at Wilmington Assembly in Delaware.
Yes, I'm unemployed. The plant closed and I'm waiting to see what happens after GM files bankruptcy. Hopefully I will get transferred to another GM plant soon.
@theGMmaytagman i live right down the road from that plant all my life and within the last week they tore it down, just left this big white building in the back, i just want to kno when they actually closed production cuz i heard of the finacial probs awile back but always saw cars and ppl there.was the place in the process of shutting down the time of this vid? cuz it seems to quiet for a giant plant
The plant ceased production on November 26, 2008, and completely closed in early 2009.
