  • for some reason i thought clark actually came and no one else did. =\

  • What is wrong with Lillian Luthor

  • By far the best episode of Smallville, maybe even of any TV Show, that I've ever seen.

  • People say that this was the greatest episode from the whole of smallville. I tip my hat off to that one. It was truley touching and you can literally feel lex's pain throughout the episode. That little piece of music stood out for me. I've remembered that episode since when it was first aired. Truely an amazing episode. Credit goes to the actors. Especially the child lex luthor, he was truley flawless and so believable. This episode was what really got me into smallville.

  • 1 person hate Alexander

  • lex is the best

  • he's coming back for the finale he said in season 10 whoa

  • Does anyone know what its called or where i can listen to it without the voices etc... or anyone done or capable of doing a cover?? cheers

  • hello my brother and find the name of the piano music?

  • I wish I knew the name of this piano song. it is driving me CRAZY. I know it is by Mark Snow but...WHAT IS IT CALLED! lol

  • @QuickAtTheKeys i don't think it has a name. it's just original score composed by mark snow.

  • AWWWW LEXXXXX!!!! SOMEONE NEEDS A HUG! :( this scene makes me soo sad... Poor little Lex

  • It's amazing how feel-good the end of the first scene is with Lionel giving Lex an inspirational story and wiping away his tears. Such a contrast for what we all know is to follow.

  • i started crying the first time i saw this

his childhood was so fucked up

    it's not fair

througout the show you see how he was deprived of his childhood and it's so fucked up

  • What was the name of the first song?

  • first 4 seasons are so good. storyline is amazing

  • I love this piano song...it's composed by Mark Snow....I would love to learn how to play it. If you have something please let me know.

  • ohhhh. thats how lex killed his brother

  • @reposetion lex didnt kill his brother, idiot, his mom did

  • @EvanDotMac dude i didnt know then. theres no use in calling mme an idiot and making me feel bad when i hadnt seen the second episode after this.

  • @reposetion lex mom killed lexes bro

  • so somebody has to find commentary play the melody or the title of mélody

  • Did you learn the song in the end

Mekir87? Id like to learn it too.

  • if lionel showed lex that he loves him lex wouldnt have become a bad person

  • thats so sad that no one showed up to that big party

  • I love so much Snow's music in this episode.. if only I could find it somewhere :(

  • Which episode is this from? And what season?? Please tell me!

  • Season 3 - Episode entitles Memoria

  • CatieCass, I think you need to rewatch SV more carefully and without bias. Lionel was an abusive father and husband. He left Lex to the mercy of his psychotic ex-mistress. He mind-raped Lex in order to cover up his own crimes which could have resulted in Lex ending up as a vegetable. Lionel poisoned Lex and later tried to trap him in his own body at the time when he (Lionel) was in prison and had cancer. And after all that Lionel is a good father? Do good fathers try to murder their children?

  • John Glover was one of the few saving graces of SV. A trully brilliant actor.

  • Wow. That last scene. The look on Lionel's face...

  • im cry for lex

  • This has always been my favourite episode. It never fails to move me. The acting, the writing, the music, the use of colour and light, is all so beautiful.

  • Yes. John Glover is truly an amazing actor!

  • @Nypopsicle18 What made this scene amazing was that Lionel always portrayed himself as a strong, powerful figure, who took pity on no one who showed weakness. However, this is one of the rare scene's in the show where we see Lionel talk to Lex as a father.

  • @GreySkies15 Couldn't agree more. My favourite Smallville episode by far. I especially love the ending when Lex tells Lionel the truth. The sheer emotion in that scene always touches something deep down.

  • @GreySkies15 My favorite episode ever too!!

  • In that first scene, Lionel is a great father and comfort to lex.. Very cearing

  • and when he became Jor-El's emissary, he tries to protect Clark, trying to make up for his past.

Sorry I know my comment was a bit long! :)

  • Lionel saw baby Julian as his second chance to be a good father. He was never a BAD father, he just never showed the kind of love and compassion that he should have. John Glover himself even said that Lionel is NOT evil, he's just very misunderstood. He never told Lex "I love you" enough, and later when he becomes a completely good man, he tells Lex several times that he loves him and Lex refuses to listen. Lionel always loved Lex, he just was never good at showing it then...

  • comoonn this part its really beautiful

  • "That's why they have you, Lionel"

    Powerful.

  • This is bittersweet moment because it shows the kind of wonderful relationship that Lionel and Lex COULD have had.

  • They could never have had a wonderfull relationship.

Lionel beat Lex's mon up in front of Lex's eyes long before this. and there is several cases that shows the lack of fatherhood (Or humminity for that matter). Lionel is pure evil. and even when he do change and become a better man later in the serie. He gives his love and admiration to Clark instead of Lex.

Lex's is always the outstander who tries and tries but never gains anything. What he is going thru is enough to turn any one evil.

  • l agree. Linoel also kills his parents

  • I think this is Mark Snow's piano piece, but I couldn't find mp3 anywhere for last several years :( If anyone finds it pleaseeeee let me know :)

  • I always have this melody in my head.

I love the music on Smallville!

    Great episode

  • so cruel

    all is sad

    das modell ?? hehehe

  • how sad!! the song is nice!!

  • Watching this scene makes think that there was some innocence deep inside Lex. But there's nothing but darkness now that Lex has murdered his father and is desire for more power to dominate or destroy the world. Smallville will never be the same again with Lionel gone.

  • i love the song

  • I love this part! And I agree with you the piano song behind the scene is beautiful!
