@mws755 I think it was in te same episode though, this, I think was a 2 part show (at least in Australia). To me, as a kid, this was one of the most awesome fight scenes in a cop show growing up. So glad it was posted on YT. I believe the guy you're talking about also had his own spin off show in the 80s, called Sabre?

@IggyM Bonaduce was also in a Season 2 episode where he played the bad influence friend of Chris Knight (Peter Brady). Knight was playing a nephew of Jon Baker who just came to town and had made friends with Bonaduce who liked to hot wire cars.

There's only maybe three fight scenes in the whole series. I guess they thought it wasn't going to be that repetitive. :-) ChiPs was the most non-violent cop show. Guns almost never drawn, punches almost never thrown. This episode was one of the few exceptions.

Danny Bonaduce appeared on a show called "Whatever Became Of" after appearing on CHIPS dressed in his karate uniform and working out with his nunchucks. He said he`s going to be in a martial arts comedy but i never heard anything else about it after that. Would have been interesting.

Fun stuff. The second of three martial-arts themed episodes of CHiPs. Interestingly, Danny Bonnaduce, best known of course from "The Partridge Family", actually is a black belt in real life. I hope these episodes become available soon on dvd, since right now, it's only the first season that's been released.
