I guess part of this piece was to identify a trend of social agencies backing into digital and the hypothesis is that they typically will do better (than digital agencies being expected to deliver against social) because they more often than not would have come from digital.
Part of this is that social isn't just another line item on the digital flow chat and that it has a unique set of characteristics, rules of engagement etc.
@david - do you think digital agencies will do this though?
Hey Joseph - Good question. The answer depends on the customers,,, Duh. It's all about where the money flows. Cool PR spins on Social Media coolness is... cool. But the best ROI will be from the agencies with the clients that engage with the most active (buying) customers no matter which media.
