  • The Jeep and the M1 Rifle are the reasons why we're not speaking German or Japanese today.

  • I would love to have a Willys Jeep MB....

  • how is the back after this trip

  • Willys are the best offroad vehicles, but land rovers do look pretty cool. I drive a 50' CJ3a myself and go nuts if i have to drive anything else :D

  • Jus been out driving one! :)

  • I like the Willies Jeep, but that's because it inspired the Series 1 Land Rover

  • I own a 1942 willys jeep...all original, my father owns a 1943 GPW ford jeep.

  • U.S.A

  • speak English cock sucker!

  • id drive the piss out of it if i get one

  • I have one ;)) I buy it for 4000 € and it's from 45. :D But i have to change engine so I put Mercedes Benz '84 in it :DD

  • I love the old jeeps :)

  • 0.33 xD

  • i love a vehicle like that

rugged little shit that you can fix with a rock and some string

  • u know what i say about a hummer h1 "you can buy a hummer h1 for 130,000 dollars but give me 35,000 dollars and i can make a jeep that can beat it off roadin give me 130000 dollars i can make3 jeeps that can beat it off roadin with money to spare"

  • I have driven many vehicles. Jeeps, toyotas, landrovers, landcruisers, ford broncos, hummers. And nothing in my opinion beats a jeep. But the chevy K5 blazer Comes very close.

  • Haha I have the DVD this came off of. :)

  • la continuación de este video se encuentra en algún lado?

  • My granddad swore by these, he was a british tank driver and informed me that these beasts used to be able to pull the tanks along, amazing bit of kit for the time and even now...

  • Acabo de comprarme un j5 , espero hacer todo lo q sale en este video... jajaja... lo mejor!

  • I'm a hard core Jeep guy who offroads. Never seen a Land Rover or Hummer in the places that we go. The Jeep is the best.

  • @texaskev09 MY 96 ISNT 4WD AND I CAN STILL OFFROAD ANYTIME AND NOT MESS SOMETHING UP UNLIKE MY FRIENDS 07 H3

  • i have willys in 1943 years end hi is for sales

  • sweet vid, wish it was in english

  • amo el willys! desde costarica tambien!

  • Sweet! The father of everything. The first Land Rover was built on a Jeep frame and running gear. They just keep getting better. I've been a daily driver in a rag top Jeep for 14 years. Never gonna drive anything else.

  • amo el willys desde costa rica

  • Que buenos fierros me encantan los jeep willys, Saludos desde argentina

  • The jeep company should re-release the jeep willys EXACTLY AS IT WAS. Very Light!!!

  • shame a good nick one these days cost around £10,000 - £15,000 otherwise i would have several.

  • simple yet effective

  • Not a particularly powerful engine, but the right gearing makes all the difference.

  • I love how right in the beginning that jeep is hauling an anti-tank gun. awesome mobile artillery :]

  • those things could catch some air

  • those things are crazy tough

  • Willys Jeep = Built Tough

  • That overcast haze above you is not normal. It's never blue anymore. We all need to wake up and wake others to stop this. Search for "chemtrails", "Dont talk about the weather", "Endgame HQ". See my vids. Good luck, everybody, it could be rough.

  • english please

  • i got to hand it to the guys in these video's they got some serious balls... it's so easy to tip a MB over without driving it over jumps like a maniac. no idea how they are even able to stay in the things seeing that they have no seat belts and the padding on the seats is shithouse. you would be black and blue after this. not to mention the injuries if u rolled it. crazy but awesome

  • dont know how you can compare landrover to willy's i own a jeep and my father is a land rover nut.... but if it wasn't for the jeep the 4wd market would probably not exist. it was the first compact 4wd and started the trend. of course there are modern vehicles that are better. but it's capabilities for it's time are amazing and it can keep up with most current off roaders today.

  • thank you man, i concour 100% dude, i have a 51 willies, recently we put ford axels, a 350 small block and lockers in ours, there just awsome, i think i need coilovers though, she dont flex like id like her to

  • my stepdad has one of these in svalbard, norway. it must be the northernmost willys. runs good except a bunch of small errors like blinker dead and handbrake busted. i drove it once. hella cold but fun as hell.

  • @jakey130486 agreed the jeep is the measuring stick for all other off roaders today. period, we measure their ability by comparing them to this

  • @tallzdatank Yes, for instance, a Hummer H2 is 0.2 Willy's

  • @jakey130486 honestly i would rather have one of these little guys than ANY new vehicle. if im off road in the mountains and something breaks at least in this little guy ive got a hell of a good chance of getting it fixed well enough to get me home again!

  • @jakey130486 u r funny it LEADS THEM ALL no other 4 wheeler can beat a jeep 0|||||0 if u say hummer yea right there are vids here of jeeps pulling em out of an inch of mud.

  • i say willys make land rover looks like a little brother:)

  • Seeing as the sole reason Land Rover exists is because of Jeep, I'd say you're off your rocker.

  • @rhctam i say land rovers are not the best against the willys, 1946 willys FTW

  • i is getting one soon

  • Los jeep willys son lo mas grande del mundo!!!!!

  • willys or hammer or land cruiser, which one is the best?

  • Land Cruiser.... but back then it was Willys...

  • english?

  • The Landrovers are better economically; the same design since they more or less were first put into service - a load were left in Malta during WWII and people still drive around in them today.

  • @mrrmancunian Wrong... Landrovers weren't built during WW2 they came to be in the late 1940's approx 1949.

The first landrovers were built on jeep chassis for testing but switched to the LR chassis for the first production Series I I am a proud owner of both LR and Jeep products.

  • i'd say, willy's jeep will always be number one

  • Anyone know where to watch the full english version of this?

    Thanks

  • i dont have the link but it was on the history channels website

  • My dad bought an early 1951 Willys M38 after his 4 year service (1951 - 1955) and still has it. All original 24V system, flat 4, etc. His has the straight fenders.

Those that came AFTER in late 1952-1957 have the modern type encased round ended fenders.

  • 1951 - 1952 M38 with straight fenders.

    Late 1952 - 1957 M38 A1 have rounded fenders.

  • [OllllO]

  • They sure don't make em like they use to, I'll be so happy when I finally get my m38a1 on the roads

  • iv have french one of these

  • OIIIIO

  • I saw black and white footage on the history channel a long time ago of them driving and hitting a big jump like bump and flipping the back end over and basically killing the guy driving since there was no roll cage

  • i have this documental, the next part is about the hummer of the usa army

  • Yes! I have a 48 CJ2A, I love that thing! It runs good, but I'm taking it apart now to restore the body. I have a DVD, Autobiography of a Jeep, and it had these clips in it. I got it on Ebay or Amazon, can't remember. Only 15 minutes long, but worth it. Thought I'd throw that out there for the Jeep lovers out there.

  • aguante la ford f100...!!!!!!!!

  • That's a beauty the grand father of all4x4s. some day i'll own one of those historical beautyful pieces of engineering.

  • Hey great video I´m from Colombia and we still use those cars for public transport I have a model 52 and hell its still running hard We can still buy new spare parts for it here

  • ¿Y la continuación del video? (and what about the continuation of this video?)

  • Supposedly somewhere around Toronto you can get them brand new. Still unassembled. Completely,,,unassembled,,every nut and bolt.

  • oh ya ill check that out i would buy one

  • jeep should make another willy's, but not so high tech and way more durable.

  • i agree, we have a 1948 willys, they are great, its simple and easy enough to maintain and its rough it keeps going forever, they should build vehicles like that again

  • really? is it a civilian version? its amazing how low tech cars can keep running for such a long time.

  • yeah, its a cj2a, my dad bought it in the eightys, it just keeps running and its sixty years old

  • hey! my dad also had a cj2a! his co workers used it as a yard goat around the marina. they submerged it in the water at least 3 times and it stilled worked (but they had to flush out the engine). possibly still working today, we don't have it now though, the marina sold it. lol, jeep should make another on of those, just with a eco engine, and maybe a set of thicker tires :D

  • nice big willys right there

  • Kinda ironic how the vehicle that helped defeat the nazis in now owned by a German company. Even when AMC owned jeep they kicked ass, CJ5,7,8; now they seem kind of girly and too flashy.

  • mercedes sold chrysler awhile ago

  • willys jeep = the legend

  • willy's = BAMF

  • i have a willys and its a amazing car, the best car i have. its a show car for my army-shop in belgium. all the people are crazy about this car

  • willys jeeps or the ford gpw are the best 4x4 ever , even just stock they can kick some ass . after chrysler took it over it all went down hill a bit there still good vehicles but there not what they used to be. i think iv put my willys cj-2a though about half of what they showed there

  • My grandma used to build jeeps during the war.

She would write a blessing on the underside of the seats. "That freedom never perish"

Every time i hear her talk about it she has this look of happiness about her.

But the happiest i have ever seen her is when we took her for a ride in one that she more than likely had a hand in building.

  • cant do that to a hummer. Jeep is the best 4x4

  • Yeah but keep in mind they offer little protection against enemy fire, and they can't haul that much shit. They are meant for two different things.

  • Me and my friends restored a 1947 willys cj-2 then lifted it to fit some 35x9.50 super swampers.. it'll go ANYWHERE!! and ANYTHING can be fixed on the trail with minimal tools...

  • This is from a Discovery channel documentary. I have it on a tape somewhere...I 'll post the english version eventually if its not already up. willys are wicked little machines.

  • U.S.A produce the BEST military equipment in the world than Germans but italians absolutely don't

  • HAHHAHA italia do it better -better of what? tin can or tin can tanks?

  • Fiat= Fucking Italian attempt at transportation.

  • MEGLIO LA FIAT CAMPAGNOLA!

    Italian do it better.

  • We have a 61 Willys completely restored with a 1.9L Volkswagen turbo diesel in it, and it just fawking rocks!

  • we watched this video today in History of the Automobile.

  • sooo much better than the hummer

  • And with a body width of 4ft. 10in. you can sneak through the tight spots. Oh yea move the spare, this is where the term move it or loose itcomes from

  • I have a 2003 TJ. Not quite the Willys but close enough and extremely capable off-road. No doors, top down, windshield down, going over boulders and down rivers. Soooo much fun. :)

  • thats why jeep is an american icon mb gpw m38 jeeps are awsome i planned to get one new one and and old one

  • Perfect ''RAT PATROL'' TEST FOOTAGE!!

  • yes ONLY IN A JEEP

  • Well... the germans had quite a vehicle with the kubelwagen (Type I) as well.

It's nice to see that both the Jeep and Bug have endured for so long. Kudos to the engineers.

  • de que programa es??

  • lol this looks like a mexican terrorist training video...watch the english version

  • actually it is from Spain not Mexico ...

  • If I was to buy an-off road it would be the jeep. Those things were unbreakable

  • huh!!!!well I know a stump jumper when i see one even if i dont speak what that guy was speaking.

  • does anyone know where to get this in english??

  • Bantam Motors got screwed when they made the first Jeep. Ford and Willys got all the credit.

  • LOL, the guys in the back when going over thos bumps....HA!

  • did GIs realy launch their jeeps

  • if i had one of them i would never stop driving it, but i would weld in a roll cage i mean i dont wana break my neck

  • Jeeps son FUCKIN AWESOME

  • JEEP ROCKS

  • sexy jeeps man i want one

  • that's my dream car RIGHT there

  • I'm french and... I have the same !

But I don't that with mine...
