are you kidding me? MadTV is so much more corny and cheesy and no actors from MadTV have ever gone big. Look at SNL, those guys get huge, they always have A-class hosts, not B or C like MAD, and they always have real music guests too. MADtv does not compare

Many people on both shows are very talented and funny. I don't think the MadTv crowd is seamless, but they are doing better at the sketch-comedy business than is SNL right now. I think a lot people I talk to look at this current SNL cast and say, "Gosh, I wish we could have another Hartman-Myers-Carvey cast or at least another Ferrell-Kattan-Shannon cast."

I never liked MadTV in the SNL glorly days, but MadTV has gotten much much better (ie any Michael McDonald sketch) while SNL completely imploded after 2001.
