I personally don't think this song ever got the credit it deserved (despite Yvonne Elliman's lame attempt to replicate it...I disagree with the previous poster). Robin's falsetto voice at the fade is a first (and I believe the only) case where we can hear his vocal range, where Barry (rightfully so) took over from that point forward. In any case, thank you for making this available.
To clarify, Yvonne Elliman's version is a then-appropriate disco-like version of a romantic love song. Disco is over. Yea, it's nice to remember those times, but a disco version of this song was never meant to be (otherwise the "real" authors would have recorded such).

It's during the part: "Never even tried..." through "...you're gonna be sorry, begging her please..." I've been able to isolate pretty clearly. The notes in it are fascinating in that they don't even match the notes of song; like a song within a song. I wish I knew someone musically inclined who could compose this by itself.
Most people have experienced break-ups, families falling apart but this song really gives meaning to what a good relationship is all about. This is such an encouragement to everyone. This brings back lovers together and had come to their senses that Love is all they need.
