@somebody1993able If the series has taught us anything, it's that Merlin's vaunted foresight was not at all present during his youth. Well, that and to never open rifts to the realm of the dead, release goblins from boxes, make all spellcasters your enemy, piss off a dragon.. but no, the main lesson here is that Merlin was a complete spaz in his youth. Or possibly that 'red-shirts' can substitute capes for shirts, and that there are endless minor nobles in Camelot to replace fallen knights.

She makes eveyone believe that gwen enchanted arthur by putting this thing under his pillow, so now uther will have gwen executed. Because merlin can't tell anyone that the real sorcerer is morgana, he decides to invent a sorcerer he can show as guilty and does an aging-spell on himself. He gets caught by arthur on purpose so he can confess and uther will have to release gwen. S3 is on youtube, called snazzlefrazz not merlin.

So much love for this scene! The dialogue, Merlin's cuteness even as an old man, and you can just tell Bradley is laughing inside. Interestingly, this is the most lively and earnest I've seen the Arthur/Merlin dynamic this whole season I think. And an old Merlin just opens a whole new avenue in terms of shipping :D Haha. This is probably my second favorite scene from this season; the first being the Fisher King and Merlin's exchange.
