I just prepared this biryani and it came out delicious!!! I didn't use the microwave 'cos I had to make a bigger batch. I layered everything on a pot and kept on the fire with a thin skillet below the pot and with a very low heat, cooked about 15-20mins... Simply love it! I have done Hyderabad biryani, south indian, various types ..I should say this is ONE of the best :) Thanks for sharing....
First time here. You seem to have an exhaustive collection of Indian recipes including videos. I was looking for a chilli paratha recipe while I chanced upon your site.
stop giving wrong recipes for people in your dummy English slang. people watching this think this is the actual recipe and follow it till they find out its wrong. if you want the actual method of mughlai dhum biryani, ask me. its a lot different from this jhatka biryani you posted.
what if i dnt have a micro ovn? anyways, i believe meat goes as first layer but never does rice. except for you. main ingredients are spices and yogurt. tomatoes are not good to taste in biryani. anyways nice mixture of chicken curry and rice. nice pulao.
hi,big fan of your moms chicken receipes,a quick question for you.........what are the ingredients for whole garam masala? plz reply soon, want to make chicken biriyani this weekend for my friends, and surprise them ..............
@onir091987 ,Im sorry for the late reply, most imp ingredients are bari ilaichi, green (small )ilaichi, cinamon, long(clove) and black pepper corns,Good luck..
I tried your chicken biryani recipe and believe me it was sooooo delicious, my husband liked it very much. i didn't add kevra/saffron but still it tasted so good. i love your other recipes also like aloo beans, aloo palak. thank u thank u thank u for posting delicious recipes.
just made it yesterday with my fingers crossed as this is my first attempt in making biryani...i could not believe how tasty and delicious it turned out...what can i say..i love it i love it i love it.. ( it was that good ) thanks for the upload...
THANKS FOR YOUR QUICK RESPONSE.I bought yoghurt today and it was the first time I cooked rice in the microwave ,I always cook it on the stove ,it was really very DELICIOUS.Thank you very much for the recipe.
It looks delicious. I can't find Kewra water or essence at the market. Can Rose Water be used as a substitute? Or is that the wrong flavor. (I've never tasted Kewra)
@AllUrUtubeRbelong2me ,sorry for the late reply,Kewra is added khushboo in biryani,it has no taste.I have never tried rose water,I dont think it will be a good substitude..
what a biriyani? I cooked yesterday,,,& I tell you very honestaly. I use to cook biriyani but first time just awesome ,very nice & amezing.it test is fantastic.
we miss this test for long. my family: love it. I realy really appriciate.Thank you sooooo much.
stupid brit woman is making it complicated---just need shaan biryani mix----it has all those ingredients needed---maybe u need saffron and salt separately---milk is not needed at least not in pakistani style chicken biryani
i have tried this receipe your style ...step by step exactly the way u did it..... and OMG....it was amazing...the first time i made it just vanished on the dining table.....i now make it very regularly and also claim to make the best biryani..hehehe...........thank you very much....
so normally, in a pot you would layer it JUST like that and then slow cook it on the stove for around 5 mins, then mix and cook for about 5 mins more?
Yes ,normally when we cook on stove,we layer biryani in the same way but keave it on simmer (dum) on very slow fire for atleast 10 to 15 min.and its done.
Hi, I would like to know that how we can check that rice is half cooked? please tell some tip about this as this is the most difficult thing for me to check that rice is half cooked or not. thank you in advance
Thank you so much for this post. I tried your recipe last night, and it was amazing, it was so tasty and delicious, not something I would make on a Wednesday but it was exceptional and easy! Thank You!
This is a very unique way of cooking biryani... Because the original way is to not put any tomatoes... And my Paki boyfriend's mom cooks it all in the pot in layers... No need for microwave..
I think this way of cooking is ideal for people who are scared of burning their biryani in one big pot. Most likely for students who are away from their moms.. lol.
Dear livealife25,the procedure will be the same ,but the last part,i:e microwave part, you can do it in a pot as well,it should take 10 to 15 mins.depending on the quantity of rice.
