Radek said it perfectly, when he was on he could beat anybody in the world and even in the later years (post 2005) when he came back from injury, a different player playing at a much lower level than the 'real Marat' he still drew the crowds.

If I could speak to Marat again I would thank him for bringing me into tennis. Only Marat was ever able to evoke such emotion out of me and that's the way it'll stay.

i will miss Marat very much but i am sure he will do something else and do it as well as he played tennis. he is leaving a void that noone else can fill. he is a unique and kind individual even with his temper. he was just being honest and he is being honest now by leaving a game his heart wasnt in anymore.

I don't know...it's a matter of choice I guess...but I think he was the biggest personality tour had in last decade...The look, the humor, the game...everything was there...and everything was natural.
