@zap137vip They actually tried to ban this video from being shown on the TV. Which is kind of bizzare since it is all file footage from primetime news. From what I understand they employed a fellow who made a similar music video in the 80's. I actually think these "random" images do more to get the point across than any other avenue they could have taken... As for political correctness, it was, as I said, all file footage, so it is no less PC than flipping on the evening news. APC rock anyways!

I love APC and TOOL and a great many other Maynard based acts and I admittedly hated this version at first.

Its completely not what you would expect of the band and the song itself.

Yet thats now why I love it. Having heard it again its really grown on me. The tonal shift and minimal arrangement really work brilliantly.

Its amazing that so many people can't look beyond the written words and see a meaning behind them, this band have found their own meaning. If you actually take in and listen to the lyrics, not just hear the words, it isn't a "happy happy" type of song at all. It just gets sugar coated because of how we all know John Lennon's version. It's quite deep and dark if you really take time to think about it.
