  • I guessed Volleyball too...

  • @cartooner2008

she was only the most famous women athlete on the face of the planet at the time. Yeah not knowing does make him a dumbass.

  • im fine with not knowing anything about womens sports, but maybe if he didnt waste his audience on a question he already knew the answer to the aud. could have got it.

  • oh what a shame

  • I have absolutely no idea who Lisa Leslie is. This is an easy question to get wrong.

  • How is this guy a dumbass? And how is this an epic fail? Real men don't pay attention to women's sports, in fact, no one does.

  • How do you get this wrong?

  • the lisa leslie question is too easy.

  • I don't hold the sports question against him, but not knowing Jefferson Davis? Really?

  • mrjohnnynitro, do you have Toby Moore's run?

  • Is it me or does the vid speed up sometimes?

  • LOL EPIC FAIL!

  • I guessed golf but it got taken away in the 50/50.

  • what a dumbass

  • I'm totally surprised the audience resulted like that on the first one.

  • Lisa Leslie would later appear on the Olympic edition, but only 8 people could get into the hot seat. She and Stacy Dragila didn't make it, but their charities each received $16,000.

  • Well, the minimum guarantee on a celeb show was $32K, so for each of them, half went to charity.

  • 4:57

  • Lisa Leslie was probably not as well known back in 2000.

  • Actually, she was more well-known at the time. This was back when they were doing the WNBA experiment.

  • wnba superstar? so i guess she makes millions.... no? oh is that only NBA? my bad......

  • That Lisa question could have been the million dollar question. Who the hell would know who Lisa Leslie is except for a bunch of lezbos or gambling addicts.

  • Not really..the only real people who would know who Lisa Leslie is are sports fanatics such as myself.

Even a 2-Minute Drill contestant would know the answer to that question.

  • This guy isn't too sharp, is he?

  • nice doesnt get you anywhere in this world unfortunately

  • Why does the music get faster and faster?

  • It's because of GSN's stupid practice of "time-compression" technology. Makes more time for commercials, which is annoying. It also annoys me that when the Regis version is shown on GSN, when a contestant leaves, it abruptly cuts to commercial.

  • Ya i notice that too when I watch it. Same thing happened on the Weakest Link

  • @segasonic623 Time-compression.. You a fan of Final Fantasy VIII?

  • i wouldnt know that LOL

  • who doesn't know what lisa leslie plays, i mean really?

  • I would never know the answer. Don't follow women's sports.

  • Anyone should know Lisa Leslie is well known from Basketball, it's a very familiar name, and Volleyball has noone important enough for anyone to remember, it's not a major sport.

  • What about Karch Kiraly?

  • who the fuck is lisa? and who gives a shit. who watches wnba??!!! was that a joke question? preposterous!

  • THAT WAS AN EASY QUESTION!

  • i agree

  • I think this is the only contestant I've ever seen who said "I don't think any of my phone-a-friends would know this" during the first 5 questions (that is, with 2 lifelines still left)

  • David Gold got tarnished and sent back to the hospital because he got a "basketball" injury.

Hehehe. This was the first time I saw a $0 loser and when he missed the question I was like what's going to happen. He gets nothing!

  • haha same not into womens sports unless its mudwrestling or foxy boxing lol

  • lol Simpsons reference. :D

  • yes indeed

  • This guy is a weak contestant

  • The confederate president was a tough question. I still know it. That should have been a $8k question. I never would get the $1000 question right. I don't know Lisa Leslie. Not a women's sports fan.

  • gayist fucking questions

  • I sympathise with the guy... this was the worst set of first questions I have ever seen on Millionaire.

I have no idea who Lisa Leslie is. I don't follow sports at all.

I also would have wrongly guessed Lee on the Confederate question because that's the only name I recognize. (In my defense I'm not American)

And I have never heard of "bats in the belfry" either, though I would've gotten it right if I had to guess.

  • Yeah, but an American who obviously had to go through grade school to become a doctor should know Jefferson Davis. The USA only had one civil war, and every schoolchild is taught about it.

  • Really? I did know all 5.

  • i was watching and looking at the questions, but then when it came to that confederate question and he had to use a lifeline i thought, no.

  • I hate it when contestants going for any of the first 5 questions say "...I don't think any of my phone-a-friends would know this..." LOL

  • Robby Roseman was the very first $0 weiner, pardon me, WINNER, who missed the first question, "What animals did Hannibal use to cross the Alps?" He narrowed it down to two by 50:50. The choices were B: Elephants (The correct answer) and C: LLAMAS (One incorrect answer which he chose). And now, everyone who misses question 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 has "llamaed out," or, left with $0.

  • This especially applies to Super Millionaire, which saw only one "llama" during its run (despite nobody winning the top prize, the closest anyone came to it was Robert Essig who won the mil after answering 12 questions right).

  • Yeah, I think it was that lady that called Regis a dude.

"Did she just call me dude?" lol!

But they stopped airing Super Millionaire on GSN recently...know what replaced it?

The short lived William Shatner-hosted SHOW ME THE MONEY.

"Let's salsa!" lol! Gotta love the dancers on there, though. Best part about it. There's only one clip of SMTM on Youtube that I know of.

  • Show Me The Money was a crime against humanity. I'm not surprised that it was originally supposed to be on FOX.

They should bring Super Millionaire back so there could be two shows that offered $10 mil. Also I turn 18 in April so I would be eligible then.

  • Lisa Leslie in Volleyball? I wish she was.

  • What does Llamas out mean?

  • Watch the video clip and you get it.

  • I was under the impression that it meant missing the very first question, although this poster used it to mean he left with $0, although he got the first question.

  • Here's what happens if you miss a question. If its one of the first 5 questions, you win nothing. Questions 6-10, $1,000. Last 5 questions, $32,000.

  • I am well aware of what happens, but though you can leave with nothing after answering the first question correctly, it still makes you look less like an idiot to at least get the first one right. I believe the person whose failure to give the answer of llamas to the first question was the origin of the phrase, and thus, even though this person left with $0, according to my understanding they didn't actually llama out.

  • They use the term llama to refer to any $0 loser on Millionaire, not just people who miss the first question.
