The kid fly's as good as some adults I know, probably uses better judgement too. Age isn't the issue, it's judgement, does he have good or bad judgement. It becomes second nature after you get trained well enough just like riding a bike. The most dangerous things I did as a child involved a bike, I had new stitches about every other weekend. Life is dangerous at least have fun while you can, no one knows how long we have here.
sorry.. but would you let your 8 year old kid drive your car down the motorway/Highway at 70mph in traffic? Even if he knew how to operate the clutch and gearbox? No? There's your answer as to whether or not you should let them paraglide. It amazes me as to why people think this is acceptable.
sorry, but I wouldn't let my child do this till, lets say at least 17+. Not because kids don't have the skill, but sometimes they just risk a lot more due to a lack of life/flying experience! I have seen some pretty bad accidents and I have a lot of flying experience. And most of the time, my experience + sense for danger saved me, and not my skills. Make sure you always pick out the nicest conditions. Always Happy Landings!
@shitNameAlert Also, make sure you don't let your kid ride a bicycle, ride in a car with you, or go anywhere near any body of water larger than a drinking cup. Obviously, this kid knows what he's doing.
@nocalsteve he may know how to fly the thing.. within reason.. but one thing he wont get for least another five years, is a sense of self preservation. Kids dont have it, and its what keeps most of us from getting into situations which we cant handle.
as marcos, i have been flying since i was 9 years old.ive also met Marcos. go to APE in ATL to get some good towing done. anyways im in south korea and its great. subscribe to Paulindeagu.
