  • Not sure if it matters but how about making a new version of this comparison? Maybe toss in the agv gp tech, and other premium helmets?

  • i know you said you are a medium but i was wondering what exactly your head size is. I'm thinkin i want to go with the new Shark, RSR2 because of weight. I seem to measure a medium but on the low size of the medium size. Can't find the RSR2 within driving range so i have to order online. i want to make sure i get it right, either small or medium. thanks again for these reviews

  • @tlh235 I measure 58cm dead on and wear a medium.

  • I'm new to riding and don't know much about gear. I noticed my chin is visible when viewed from the side like about 1/4 - 1/2 inches. But I saw it is that way for you too so... I'm guessing this shouldn't be a problem as I thought it would?

  • What about the AGV GP-TECH Helmet???????

  • @QuiKNiK80 i 2nd that

  • Thanks for making this review :)

  • @ArGyProductions No worries

  • Awesome helmet comparison Brain I just have been looking at the Shoei X12 and ARAI Corsair V for my new helmet my head is 55cm and the ARAI Corsair V in a size small for me had more of a race fit then the SHOEI X12 did in a small it is not easy to get shelds here in Australia with tear off posts for the ARAI Corsair V so I just ordered them from you guys and thanks for all the awesome videos.

  • @hikaruchan1 No worries ansd thanks for the order.

  • TWo videos and nothing said about the visor mechanisms? I kinda feel that Arai/Suomy/Shark have A+ visors, Shoei, AGV are about an A-

  • @dreasmeister We have full reviews on each of these helmets. That is where we get into that type of detail. All of the visor mechanisms are so good now I do not feel this is a factor in a helmet purchase at this point.

  • @Sportbiketrackgear

My first helmet was a KBC and it has a similar visor mechanism as a Shoei, minus the locking tab. Problem with it in the 1st year was 1mm of plastic off the corner chipped/broke off through normal use. Now when I put the visor up ALL the way, there is nothing to prevent the one side from flying off. Now I'm very critical of how well a visor is held on.

  • @dreasmeister I would rate all four of the helmets represented here on a totally different plane than the KBC stuff. Out of all of these I would say I see very few visor related issues. If I had to say which one I saw the most out of the four it would be the Arai.

  • Hey Brian, excellent reviews as always. I would have liked you to have gone into the emergency release cheek pads that I know the Arai and Shoei offer but I guess you can catch that on the separate reviews on your website. I actually have the very same model Arai as you have in this video and I love it, worth every cent!

On a side note, here in the New Zealand market Arai supply the pinlock visor and insert as standard which help add a little value to the deal. Keep up the good work dude!

  • @nzroadrider That is interesting they supply the Pinlock w/ the helmet overseas. Perhaps your weather is such that it is needed and not a luxury?

Good point on the cheek pad release. I covered each of these helmets individually and went into detail about the emergency cheek pad release. Myself I feel Shoei did a better job with this.

Thanks for the props and ride safe!

  • Hi Brian, thanks for the great videos.

Any chance you could compare some of the AGV (T2 or GP tech) helmets to those?

  • @gotinoto Working on it now! Keep checking back I expect we will have it done soon
