I agree that all couples do break up eventually on daytime, but you are correct they I/R couples break up faster. Rarely, on ABC do they develop these couples, I believe OLTL did develop John and Evangeline, but from what I heard they received a great deal of negative emails regarding the relationship, but, itis a trend and as you said its 2011 there are thousands of these relationships in real life. They have had more courage with gay and lesbian relationships than interracial relationships.

@siucgal In general on soaps mostly all couples break up, it's just with interracial relationships it happens so quickly and they never give the couples a chance to develop. I agree that they need to stop bullsh*tting and stop putting IR couples together if they are not going to invest in them. A time when there was love and romance on this show. Jason and keesha were first loves and they were so sweet. The show semed invested in this couple,but ater the car accident, jason got amnesia and lost his soul. What a waste.
When Jason and Keesha first came on tv as a couple it was awesome! And then ABC punked out and broke them up but the way they did it was so nasty and awful, I never forgave GH for it and have hated every single Jason paring since and still hate Jason because of it. The only thing that would make me like Jason again would be if Keesha came back to Port Charles with Jason's secret love child that she never told him about because he had been so nasty to her when he became "emotionless"..

He did not remember his love for Keesha & treated her like a discarded greasy sock. They were both virgins when they slept together but the writers at the time wrote the breakup as if Kesha was hounding Jason for sex. It was written as if she only wanted Jason 4 sex & it was offensive. & then came Carly the Slut.
@Lexx2u That would be cool, but the timing would be off because she wound up hooking up with AJ and she stayed in PC for at least year or two after Jason's accident. I just don't like they put her off the show. I mean she was there one moment and then gone. They didn't even give her a proper send off. No wonder why Senati probably quick acting not too long after that. She probably got fed up with the system and pursued an academic career or something.
I miss this Jason. I know everyone likes the bad boy he's become, but there was something sensitive and sweet about him. He really seemed to care about people, and not just his family. I remember him arguing with the Quartermain's about their business practices, and the way they treated people back then. He's gone from wanting to save the world to shooting at everything that moves.
So pow the wards are back on GH! I loved Jason and Keesha so I watched Keesha and Jason clips yesterday after not seeing them since they where on the show. Then pow! a cute Keesha type girl showed up today. She is Mary Mae's great grand daughter and living with the Quartermains. Let see where the story goes!!!!

IA. I always felt that Keesha was the ideal type of woman for Jason. She had a charming innocence about her and she was headstrong and determine. They dont write women like they did Keesha these days. I thought Jarly had potential but they messed that up. Its ironic because Keesha was ideal for Jason Quartermaine and Jason Morgan. It seem to me they invested a lot in this pairing I dont understand why they would destroy it the way they did.

God, I remember Keesha and Jason so well! They were cool. This was all pre-accident, before he lost his memory and then lost his "desire" for her. This is the couple that first drew me to GH. They were so sweet and innocent. I did not like the way they broke them up. Jason was so brutal. I did not like how they paired him with Robin afterwards. I stopped watching GH for many years. I came back when they started Liason again. I love Liason but Keisha and Jason will always be my favorite GH pairing.

Liason pales in comparison to Keesha and Jason. They were the original hotness that was and always will be. Jason Q suffered irreversible brain damage and permanently lost his memory. He not only rejected the Qs but the love of his life at the time Keisha. I'm a die hard Liason fan but really wished Jason and Keisha could had some kind of closure. JMHO.

Why has it seemingly never occurred to anyone at GH that having JQ re-emerge, in bits and pieces, and watching as the 2 sides of the same person (JQ/JM) try to come to terms with one another. Having Keesha come back to town as the catalyst that jostles those old JQ memories in JM's head wouldn't be so bad either. I'm a little weary of the mob hits myself!

He feel that his former character was a dead end and wouldn't have had the play he has now as Sonny's right hand. Okay, that's fine. I'm not asking for Jason Q, back because I happen to love them both, but U am asking that they bring Keesha back, preferably Senati, but if not I'll deal, and give the Jason and keesha storyline proper play and closure. They were screwed!
@tiarakf Steve Burton felt that as Jason Q., his character was not going to go anywhere, stuck in the whole "goody two shoes" role. He was excited when they had Jason become a bad boy because that meant more of a meatier story for him and a chance to work with other leads and as a lead himself. I don't begrudge him for wanting to do something different. Some soap actors have played the same role & very little else in their careers. I just don't think they had to sacrifice J&K's love for it.

Here is what happened. Jason was in the car with his brother A.J. and if mym memory serves me correct it was because he was trying to stop A.J. from driving drunk. They get into an accident, Jason loses his memory,loses all recollection of his family, friends and most of all, Keesha. He turned into this hard ass and treated Keesha like a piece of meat.
I was young too so I wasnt watching back then either. But from clips and character profiles I've read after Jason's accident he didnt remember who she or anyone was. He didnt even bother trying. He was really bitter angry towards everyone who wanted to help him. That's how he became Jason Morgan and he eventually started working for Sonny.
Where do I sign up? Keesha needs to return to GH just so that she can give Jason a good swift kick in his tale for the way he treated her, make him fall madly in love with her again and them drop him like a lead pipe!SIGN ME UP!

Jeesha will always be SBs best pairing, and I will never forgive tiic for for tossing Kee under the bus. I just wish Sam would find Keesha and bring her back so the JaseBot2000 could do the right thing and apologize for treating her like sh*t back then when all she wanted was the man she loved back.

IA. I always felt that Keesha was the ideal type of woman for Jason. She had a charming innocence about her and she was headstrong and determine. They dont write women like they did Keesha these days. I thought Jarly had potential but they messed that up. Its ironic because Keesha was ideal for Jason Quartermaine and Jason Morgan. It seem to me they invested a lot in this pairing I dont understand why they would destroy it the way they did.

@waterlilyqueen I totally agree with you! The biggest tragedy in them creating JM is that they got rid of the character and decency of such a great young man in soaps. Now its just violence and bent morals on GH. I can't watch it anymore and I can't believe Guza continues to be awarded for such nonsense and frivolous, unlikely (and unlikable) crap. Sorry for the rant, I'm just really sad that the GH of this clip is no more :(

God, I remember Keesha and Jason so well! They were cool. This was all pre-accident, before he lost his memory and then lost his "desire" for her. Isn't he still the same kind of Jason that he was after he got hurt? Hanging out with Sonny and all that? I think I stopped watching GH right around then, and haven't since...

This is the couple that first drew me to GH. They were so sweet and innocent. I did not like the way they broke them up. Jason was so brutal. I did not like how they paired him with Robin afterwards. I stopped watching GH for many years. I came back when they started Liason again. I love Liason but Keisha and Jason will always be my favorite GH pairing.

I 100% with Vitaluv and Jebaja, I loved Jason & Keesha and hoped that Jason's memory would come back but didn't and then they paired her with AJ (which made no sense) then dumped the character all together!
Jason and Keesha are up there with Cristian/Evangeline, Kevin/Rachel and Nik/Gia(all great IR pairings TPTB screwed up)
GH has def. become "The Sonny and Carly Show" or "I Love Sonny"

All hell! I am a Liason lover, but damn! I FLOVED my Jason and Keesha! Hell's yes! Jason and Keesha were the BOMB and so vey sexy together. SA is gorgeous and she and SB looked soo cute together. I was soooo pissed when they broke them up and Jason became "Morgan" and treated Keesha like crap. That would be great if Keesha did come back and rock Liason's world! An good triangle would be fun cause I love both Liz and Keesha..

Liason pales in comparison to Keesha and Jason. They were the original hotness that was and always will be. They set the standard for modern interracil love on soaps and it's dam shame ABC punked the hell out and didn't go all the way with them because of a few hicks from the boonies. I hated Robin and Jason, Jason and Carly, Jourtney, Liason, and every other chick paired with Jason because it's a sham.

Vitaluv, One of the many reasons I no longer watch general hospital, it's more "Shootem up G.H." than anything else now, and I won't waste my time watching that crap. Jason and Keesha's relationship made you want to tune in, in order to find out what was coming next with this couple (still don't understand why they ultimately paired her with A J though). Those days are gone 'forever' and I now consider 'G.H.' nothing but trash.

That is so totally true. The mob stuff doesn't bother me as much as the hypocrisy. You're not afraid to tell a mob story, but you can't tell a succesful I/R romance. Look what they did to Gia and Nik. Those two were oozing chemistry and bam! Done. Keesha and Jason were the epitome of a classy, young, American couple. What was so wrong with them? That they were two different colors. They are the reason why I starting thinking outside the box when it came to dating. Sonny and Laney had potential.

Me too. I HATED Jason and Carly, he was acting like such a jackass, and I never liked Jason and Robin. I always they were dull and sanctimonious, and I just always hated the way post accident Jason treated Keesha. They should have done a Jason Q/AJ/Keesha/Robin triangle, with Jason trying to be there for Robin after Stone died, Keesha feeling bad for being jealous, AJ needling in to "comfort" her. . .

Jason Q suffered irreversible brain damage and permanently lost his memory. He not only rejected the Qs but the love of his life at the time Keisha. I'm a die hard Liason fan but really wished Jason and Keisha could had some kind of closure. JMHO.

Why has it seemingly never occurred to anyone at GH that having JQ re-emerge, in bits and pieces, and watching as the 2 sides of the same person (JQ/JM) try to come to terms with one another. Having Keesha come back to town as the catalyst that jostles those old JQ memories in JM's head wouldn't be so bad either. I'm a little weary of the mob hits myself!

@Spoxybrown A lot of this has to do with Steve Burton who does not want Jason Q. back and has publicly stated that sentiment. He feel that his former character was a dead end and wouldn't have had the play he has now as Sonny's right hand. Okay, that's fine. I'm not asking for Jason Q, back because I happen to love them both, but U am asking that they bring Keesha back, preferably Senati, but if not I'll deal, and give the Jason and keesha storyline proper play and closure. They were screwed!

@tiarakf Steve Burton felt that as Jason Q., his character was not going to go anywhere, stuck in the whole "goody two shoes" role. He was excited when they had Jason become a bad boy because that meant more of a meatier story for him and a chance to work with other leads and as a lead himself. I don't begrudge him for wanting to do something different. Some soap actors have played the same role & very little else in their careers. I just don't think they had to sacrifice J&K's love for it.

Here is what happened. Jason was in the car with his brother A.J. and if mym memory serves me correct it was because he was trying to stop A.J. from driving drunk. They get into an accident, Jason loses his memory,loses all recollection of his family, friends and most of all, Keesha. He turned into this hard ass and treated Keesha like a piece of meat.

I was young too so I wasnt watching back then either. But from clips and character profiles I've read after Jason's accident he didnt remember who she or anyone was. He didnt even bother trying. He was really bitter angry towards everyone who wanted to help him. That's how he became Jason Morgan and he eventually started working for Sonny.
