I have one of these and use it every night on my MYA Bambino with a Vortex bowl. With no wind screen it takes about 1/2 hour to get going. The flavor is awesome, but it's still important to keep moving it around the bowl like regular coals so that the shisha doesn't start to burn. Unlike coals, the temperature stays at maximum making burning more likely if you're not careful. It's too hot for the stock, small Bambino bowl. Winds up burning the shisha.
@slayer544 i know this is going to sound stupid but could i use a soldering iron to set on the foil cause i got a free sample so i made my own hookah and i dont want to go out and buy coals just to try the stuff
@RadioLogics not sure. the quality control in China isn't the greatest so there really is no guarantee. I've had one die after using it twice, while another still works no problem despite the cord melting and reforming everytime it gets used and cooled.
maybe instead of making it hotter, or a bigger coal, you can press less holes in it, so their wont flow alot of cool air through the pipe, but only air that has gone past the coal.
@SkateIncorporated I wouldn't. these electric coals are far too inconsistent and not hot enough. Get yourself some Coco Nara natural coals, they're the best out there.
@Qball9311 look on ebay. but I would really wait a few months to see what the electric bowl Sparx is producing. I'll be doing a review of that as well.
@motokeefe43 the guy on ebay is legit, i've talked to people who bought from him. but as you can see, it's a bit overpriced. the ones i've been using are the same as what I used in this video and I got them directly from the manufacturer in China. What i'll tell you is this. Wait a few months, there's a company called Sparx Hookah coming out with some kind of electric bowl. They're supposedly sending me one to review when it's ready, so be on the lookout.
I hope a trusted company gets out there and makes a cheaper and better version of this. If so I would buy a few and some herbal shisha. And I wouldn't feel asbad about smoking my Hookah somuch.
Also it's a much cheaper option to buying coals with heavy metals in them.
@Kelo60 there's a company called Sparx Hookah coming out with some kind of electric bowl within the next few months so we'll see how that is. Also, herbal shisha is not much better than tobacco, any smoke going into your lungs is bad for you. you'll just be taking nicotine out of the picture. anyways, happy smoking! :)
I dont use them with phunnels. 2 was perfect for a standard egyptian bowl and nakhla/salloum. I really wouldnt use it every day or for any tobacco that's too wet.
about "ruining tradition" - the flavoured shisha wasn't even around until the 1980s - yet no one complains how flavoured shisha is "ruining tradition" *lol*

Can shisha be smoked in a glass or wooden pipe?
thaimelody 11 months ago 2
@thaimelody nope. shisha tobacco must be baked and not directly burned.

El Nakhla is wet.
I guess sense u got it in a can it was dryer.
El Nakhla comes in a box too.

@snorton69543
Nakhla is more sticky than wet, compared to say, Al Fakher. also, cans are wetter than boxes.

@KarmaTiger I do not udst the point of anybody who says it ruins the tradition of hookah smoking. It is not ruining, it's development.
